Maria, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear the backstory of how you established your own practice.

After graduating from college in 2014, I worked for different spas, a chiropractor, and a fitness community center in which I learned how to put in practice what I learned in school to help people heal and improve their health.
I opened my practice in 2017, and since then I have been working and studying for better serve my clients. It’s been wonderful and I’m grateful for that.
Starting my practice was a dream I had since the beginning of my career. Many people believe massage therapy is a luxury, but it’s not. It’s a natural way to treat and improve your health and wellbeing.

Maria, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

First of all, I’m am a mom of two wonderful kids. My husband is my biggest supporter of anything I decide to do. My business, Therapeutic magic LLC, is a project that he is heavily involved in.
I worked with the senior community for about 10 years, helping them with personal needs. I wanted a career that could continue helping people to feel better, feel that they are being valued, and cared.

I serve people of all ages that need therapy and esthetic services.
In my industry, continue education is key to success. I’m certified in different modalities ( lymphatic drainage, prenatal microdermabrasion, Dermaplane and others), that are applicable to any of the services I provide.
When clients call me to thank me for the positive changes they see after therapy, my heart is full because that is my purpose.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

My first language is Spanish, and my English is not perfect. That is something that made my school more challenging, but I didn’t let it stop me from achieving my goals.

If you could go back in time, do you think you would have chosen a different profession or specialty?

Definitely! I believe it’s God’s plan.
When in school, I was in a waiting list for the radiology program and I decided to start massage therapy while waiting and that was it! In love with massage therapy.
