We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Marharyta Syniakova. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Marharyta below.
Marharyta, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
Oh, success is like a perfectly organized Photoshop file: if you don’t group your layers, it’s chaos. But seriously, I think success comes down to three things: a little talent, a lot of hard work, and just a pinch of luck.
Once, early in my design career, I was given a project where everything that could go wrong did. The client changed their mind every two days, deadlines loomed like storm clouds, and I was basically sleepwalking through the week. It felt like success was impossible—until, late one night, I had this idea to design the concept as if it were a vintage poster. The next morning, I showed it to the client, and guess what? They loved it!
That moment taught me an important lesson: success isn’t just about your skills; it’s about finding new paths when the usual ones don’t work. It’s also about enjoying the process, even when everything’s on fire. And, of course, a good cup of coffee can sometimes be a lifesaver!
Marharyta, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Hi there! I’m a graphic designer and linocut artist from Ukraine with over 10 years of experience in the design world. My journey into this creative field started with illustration—I’ve always loved drawing since I could hold a pencil. That passion naturally grew into graphic design, and eventually, I also dipped my toes into motion design, which gave my creations a little extra life and movement.
While design is my main gig, linocut art is my heart’s escape. I started it as a hobby, a way to unwind and recharge after intense design projects. There’s something incredibly calming about carving into linoleum and watching the final print come to life. It’s a bit of a contrast to the fast-paced world of digital design, but it reminds me why I fell in love with creating in the first place.
As a designer, I work on branding, digital and print materials, motion graphics, and more. What sets me apart is my attention to detail and my ability to balance creativity with strategic thinking. I love helping clients solve problems visually—whether it’s building a brand identity that tells their unique story or designing eye-catching motion graphics that make their message unforgettable.
What I’m most proud of is my ability to adapt and keep learning. From illustration to design to motion graphics and even back to traditional art with linocut, every step has helped shape my style and approach.
If there’s one thing I’d like potential clients, followers, or fans to know, it’s that I believe creativity is a tool for connection. Whether I’m designing a logo, animating a story, or carving a linocut print, I pour my heart into making something meaningful and personal. And if I can make someone smile, think, or feel inspired through my work—well, that’s the best kind of success.
