Alright, Margo thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
Margo Paige is on a mission to reshape the fashion industry by creating products based on sustainability, ethics, and transparency. We believe that fashion can be a force for good by reducing waste, promoting ethical supply chains, and supporting eco-friendly business practices.
We see a future where true transparency becomes the norm in both our lifestyles and the fashion industry. Our vision is for our products to inspire people to minimize waste, streamline their wardrobes, and reintroduce creativity into their personal style.
In this future, there’s no need to choose between quality and accessibility or style and sustainability. We aim to be part of a circular fashion economy where products are crafted for durability and endlessly reused. It’s a world where collaboration replaces competition, and small businesses and unique designs are celebrated. We believe in an industry where ethical practices and sustainable initiatives are second nature — making them the new standard for fashion.
We’re thrilled to create a new narrative for fashion – one that is clean, simple, ethical, approachable, and livable.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Margo Paige started as a solution to fashion challenges I was experiencing in my own life – a need for a specific product (clear handbags – our flagship product!), a desire for sustainable and approachable closet staples, and to do my part to protect our planet and its people. I was not a product designer or fashion industry expert at the time, but I knew what was important to me and wanted to reflect this in my brand. The deeper I dove into the fashion industry, the more I learned about some of the negative impacts of this world. I learned how genuinely important it is for us to make thoughtful purchases when it comes to fashion. Our fashion is a reflection of ourselves – our style and creativity, our ethics, and even the health of our homes and planet. As the founder of a fashion brand, I sincerely appreciate the importance of creating sustainable and values-driven products and helping reshape the industry we’re a part of.
My vision for Margo Paige is for our brand and products to feel approachable and livable, with sustainability as our foundation. Just like years ago when I created clear handbags because I needed one myself, I’m still thinking about products that I’d like to see in my own closet while prioritizing values that I want to see in my community. I’m seeking timeless silhouettes and seasonless staples that flow with me from all the activities I pack into my day. I love building a wardrobe full of multi-functional and seasonless pieces that encourage creativity and originality in my style. It’s fun to remember that I truly love fashion and creating new, original styles! I don’t love what fast fashion has done to our planet and people, and I’m fortunate to be in a position to do something about it.
As I think about future evolutions of Margo Paige, I’m taking all of this into account – I hope that I’m not the only one feeling this way and that our community of customers holds similar values and desires. I’m a fashion customer myself, and I’m tired of feeling overwhelmed by excess and waste, of being charged a premium for the word “sustainability,” and of low-quality, fast fashion products remaining an acceptable norm. I started Margo Paige to address needs in my own life and closet that didn’t exist on the market, and I’m proud to be growing a brand that tackles these issues of sustainability, accessibility, and holistic living through the lens of fashion.
Margo Paige started as a clear handbag brand and has grown to encompass a full line of seasonless, sustainable styles. As a brand, we’re committed to continuously evolving and challenging norms that don’t align with the world we want to live in.
I’m excited about the evolution of Margo Paige and the fashion industry around us, and I look forward to sharing our growth with our community and customers. In essence, I’m working to create a brand that I’d want to shop from myself.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Social media is a powerful tool, but word of mouth holds even greater influence. As consumers become more skeptical of influencer endorsements, they’re turning to their friends — and even friends of friends — for trusted recommendations. Having a loyal community of customers who wear and share our products has played a major role in our growth, and we hope it continues to be a driving force!

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
*Shoedog* by Phil Knight has been an incredible source of inspiration and comfort, offering the reassurance that someone else truly understands the entrepreneurial journey. There are so many parallels between starting a business and Knight’s story — reading about the triumphs and possibilities reinforces the belief that if you stay consistent and resilient through setbacks, success is within reach.
