Hi Margaux, thanks for joining us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
t’s hard to stick on a specific project because I worked on several meaningful projects. If I had to pick one, I’d talk about my personal serie “AVES” that means “Birds” in Latin. It’s a serie of portraits photographs. The model I shot wore different make ups inspired by endangered birds species feathers.
In order to produce this serie, I worked with very talented models and my amazing Make Up Artist and friend, Lauryn Samama.
We shot about 20 models during 3 days. “Aves” takes the following form : One portrait, one close-up and a board with a map of species distribution as well as informations about the species.
My sister is a biologist working on animal conservation, so “Aves” is a bridge between my profession and hers.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I always knew I wanted to work in the creative field. I discovered my love for photography when I was 15, as I was able to shoot endlessly with my uncle’s digital camera. From there, I never stopped and my passion grew everyday. I worked almost 10 years fir the fashion and advertising industry, as a lighting engineer and begun to accept photographer jobs in parallel. Today, I am a portrait photographer. I have a large scake of activity – working for companies, private individuals , press and the musical industry. I shot a lot of concerts and artists but also beautiful pregnant women. 😊
I love meeting people, sharing a good moment with them and making beautiful images.
My life is a daily adventure and that makes my life plenty and beautiful. I even met my love, my partner and worked with him on several occasion thanks to my job.
I am proud of myself and my dedication to my work,.If something would stand out from some others, I think that would be it .
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
To create is a way of life. I think you can aware that from the moment you are a child and you draw or make something crafty. Unfortunately, many of us lose this ability to enjoy the simplicity of creation by being judged or inhibited by adults. I always knew I wanted to spend my life thrilling by the joy of creating whatever the creation would be. In my case, it turned to to be photography. But creation can take so many aspects. For exemple, sometimes, I do jobs would not appear creative at first place. But when I create an image, I have to frame, light it, and drive my model to be the best version of him, that is creation. When you cook, clean your house o write a letter, which are daily activities, you can either consider it like chores or choose to see it as an act of creation.
Creating is for me a form of freedom, and in my freedom, I choose to bring happiness and positivity to people I work with. That is my goal.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I believe my entire life is a story of resilience. I chose to become a photographer when I was 15. I am now 33 and I still haven’t made it where I want to. Everyday I work on my career, whether be it artistically or by developing my network. Sometimes (very often actually) I have doubts. I am afraid of never succeeding or failing to earn enough money for a living. But every time, I tell myself,:”OK. Maybe you’re right, but what else do you want to do?”. And the answer is always the same : I was born to do this job and nothing else !
