Hi Margarita , thanks for joining us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?

While I don’t consider myself to have fully reached that peak of success yet, I have gained valuable insights and developed a perspective on what it takes to strive towards it. I consider an open-minded approach to be paramount. Success often stems from being receptive to new experiences, ideas, and possibilities. It’s essential not only to embrace change but also to proactively seek it out. Remaining open to different opportunities and perspectives can lead to unexpected paths and enriching experiences. My own journey is a testament to this. Starting as a musician, I would never have imagined transitioning to the world of Film/TV. However, by being open-minded, I allowed myself to explore diverse avenues that have expanded my horizons in ways I couldn’t have foreseen.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

My name is Margarita Waldburger and I work as dubbing casting lead for projects on distinguished streaming platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney. In essence, I’m part of the process of selecting English voices for movies produced in foreign languages. In addition to overseeing the casting process, my responsibilities encompass the entirety of voice actor recruitment. This includes tasks such as administering auditions, extending role offers, coordinating schedules, and ensuring that voice actors are compensated fairly for their time and exceptional talents.
My journey into this industry began with a deep-rooted passion for arts and music, which I nurtured from my early years in Spain. Initially, I embarked on a musical path as a cellist, honing my skills as a performer. Subsequently, I transitioned to a behind-the-scenes role in the music industry, where I found immense satisfaction in managing and assisting artists with their marketing and management need. Ultimately, my journey led me to the enchanting realm of post-production for films, culminating in my current residence in vibrant Los Angeles, CA.

Reflecting on my journey, I’m proud at how far I have come. From my modest beginnings as a quiet kid attending a music conservatory, to securing credits on prestigious platforms like Netflix, it has been a transformative experience. The opportunity to work alongside talented professionals in the entertainment industry and contribute to such acclaimed productions has been a dream come true.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

As a dubbing casting lead and talent coordinator, the most rewarding aspect lies in the creative process of selecting the perfect voices for international movies. The journey of exploring diverse voices, matching them to characters, and witnessing talented voice actors bring them to life is deeply fulfilling. While the final dubbed product is essential, it’s the creative journey that truly brings satisfaction and fulfillment to my role.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

One of the most resilient moments in my life was during the transition from college to post-graduation. Faced with doubts and uncertainties, I embraced the challenges with courage, motivation, and a hunger for growth. Through setbacks and rejections, my resilience empowered me to adapt, learn, and seize new opportunities. This experience taught me the value of perseverance, shaping my mindset to face challenges with determination and emerge stronger.
