MARCUS, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
I got into the travel industry because I wanted to see more people that look like me experience travel. My goal was and still is to educate Minority travelers. I want minorities to know that travel is feasible and is for everyone, not just the wealthy!

MARCUS, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Marcus Williams Owner and operator of Impressive Travels. Aug 2014 is when I begin in the travel industry. My destination wedding in Jamaica is what inspired me to get into the travel industry. Our wedding was comprised of close friends, and family, some of which had never traveled outside of the United States. Seeing the joy on everyone’s faces was amazing. I thought to myself how great it would be if I could provide this same experience on a greater scale. My goal is to provide a service and a great experience not just a vacation. An amazing experience that my clients will remember forever. What sets me apart from local travel agents is that travel is my passion. I provide firsthand knowledge that supports my expertise, I also have built amazing partnerships as another resource to assist with my clients.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
I believe 2020 was the hardest year for the travel industry. Majority of the year consisted of travel cancellations, international borders closing, fighting for client refunds, and hold times adding up to 8hrs or more. Despite all of the negative impacts that happened in 2020 I’m still standing to talk about it in 2022. Thus far, Impressive Travels has doubled in sales this year what was sold in 2019. I strongly feel there are great things in store for Impressive Travels. Pressure makes diamonds!

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The best source of new clients has been referrals. Majority of my clients are returning clients. I can say good percentage of my clients will always refer a friend or family.
