Alright, Marcus thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. It’s easy to look at a business or industry as an outsider and assume it’s super profitable – but we’ve seen over and over again in our conversation with folks that most industries have factors that make profitability a challenge. What’s biggest challenge to profitability in your industry?
In the lively Orlando photography and videography industry, we embrace competition and use it to fuel our commitment to delivering exceptional services and creative experiences.
Technological advancements are seen as opportunities to elevate the quality of our work and impress clients. While there are occasional challenges in maintaining profitability, we view them as stepping stones to growth and success, with smart financial planning and service diversification.
Above all, building strong client relationships remains at the core of our business, fostering loyalty and satisfaction. Our passion for the craft shines through in every project, making this industry both exciting and fulfilling.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Just as in my journey with my marketing, photography and videography business, my journey with Crohn’s disease has required resilience and determination. Living with Crohn’s has brought its share of challenges and setbacks, but I’ve chosen to face them head-on and use them as opportunities for personal growth.
Despite the hurdles, I’ve remained positive and focused on my health and well-being. Like refining my photography skills I’ve sought medical advice, adjusted my lifestyle, and learned to manage my condition more effectively.
Living with Crohn’s disease has taught me the value of persistence in pursuing a fulfilling life. Despite the setbacks, I continue to embrace my passion for photography and videography and never let the challenges of my health condition deter me from doing what I love.
Just as my photography business began to thrive through perseverance, I’ve found that taking a proactive approach to managing Crohn’s has allowed me to enjoy a fulfilling life despite the obstacles. My journey with both endeavors highlights the importance of staying true to one’s passions, believing in the value of personal growth, and embracing resilience to overcome any challenges that come my way.
How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
To start my photography, social media marketing and videography business in Orlando, I utilized personal savings and secured a small business loan. I was resourceful by buying equipment at low cost and reinvested early profits to expand.
As the business started to gain momentum, I reinvested a significant portion of the early profits back into the company. This reinvestment helped expand our service offerings, improve our studio space, and enhance the overall client experience. It was essential to continuously improve and grow to stay competitive in the vibrant Orlando photography and videography industry.
Furthermore, networking and building relationships within the local creative community played a pivotal role. I collaborated with fellow photographers and videographers on various projects, which not only enriched my portfolio but also opened up opportunities for referrals and shared resources.
This collaborative spirit helped me leverage the power of community support, making it easier to access certain resources without incurring additional costs.
Ultimately, the combination of personal savings, and business reinvestments brought about patience on not moving too quickly.
Networking within the creative community also provided support and opportunities. This strategic approach laid the foundation for a successful venture.
