We were lucky to catch up with Marcus Tamez recently and have shared our conversation below.

Marcus, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What was it like going from idea to execution? Can you share some of the backstory and some of the major steps or milestones?

Rabble Rouza Records started out simultaneously with our music group Heretic Klick in late 2004 early 2005 in our mother’s garage, me (Marcus Wicked-T Tamez)and my brother (Eddie Sin-X Tamez) started to record our own music, once we found our sound we decided to get serious about our music. There was alot of ups and downs at first from dealing with bad promoters and losing money to trying finding good Studios and engineers. It was alot of trial and error in the beginning but we finally found a sure fire method that brought success, and with our new found success we decided to get our music distributed to the public. There is no shortage of talent between the both of us, from creating and recording music to graphic design and marketing in a matter of 2 years we had built our brand and our business. Like any business there was alot to figure out such as what services we could offer, we decided not to just be a regular recording studio but we also offered graphic design, music videos and we also have classes for young independent artist that teach music marketing and the basics of the independent musican. We officially opened our doors to Rabble Rouza Records in January 2016 and have been going strong since

Marcus, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

My name is Marcus Wicked-T Tamez and i am the co-owner of Rabble Rouza Records along with brother Eddie Sin-X Tamez, i got into the industry because i wanted to help others out with their music endeavors and also help build up our music group Heretic Klick.

At Rabble Rouza Records we offer music distribution, music marketing, music classes, recording and we also offer booking performances from Heretic Klick. I believe that our experience and our consistent drive for to help others sets us apart from the pack. We are totally dedicated to our clients success.

We are most proud of our own success with Heretic Klick. Our music group which consists of me Marcus Wicked-T Tamez ,my Brother Eddie Sin-X Tamez and recently added members Kyng Juize and AceMcbilly. Together we have surpasses over 90 million streams on Spotify and have collaborations with many well known artist in our genre such as Gawne, Esham, That Mexican Ot, Jarren Benton, Juicy J, Rittz Mr.Pookie and many more. We have also made personal connections with these artist and there teams. That allows us to better help our clients move forward with there music careers

Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?

Funding our business was one of the most challenging things we had to do. Because as first time business owners we didn’t know the ends and outs of business, so there was alot of trail and error. In the beginning we put ln alot of our own money to get the business started. Then we decided on a small business loan.. which was very challenging to get as a small business. But Frost bank helped us out with our startup loan…. we also applied for credit cards that actually helped us out alot more then the loan did. The credit cards helped us build our business credit and as time went on we were able to pay off our loan and credit cards and rely solely on our profit.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

Business isn’t always good there are times that business slows down for us drastically. But we always come up with different plans to keep us moving forward. For example when covid hit we found new ways to conduct business. We started remote classes the first day the government shut everything down and continued thru out the pandemic. I feel like we were one of the first businesses to do that. Any challenges that come our way we always find a way to persevere thru and show strong resilience. Another example of our resiliency is thru our own music. We have had 14 albums released and another one due to release this October “Devils With Halos 2” should release 0ctober 31 that will make 15 studio albums and 21 singles and 3 eps we have shown our resilience thru our music. Our group Heretic Klick as endured thru many obstacles and we don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.
