We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Marcus Johnson . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Marcus below.
Marcus , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What was it like going from idea to execution? Can you share some of the backstory and some of the major steps or milestones?
The brand- Mi Money Intangibles ®, a luxury streetwear brand that was started during one of the most unprecedented and afflicted times we experienced in the heights of a global crisis. A time where we were forced to deal with our reality and live with our thoughts more than ever…and that was the start. The thought, the idea, the reason, the purpose, it all came to me like lightning and I had no choice but to document those Intangible thoughts and visions. It all started with an enlightened period that was daily, from a notebook written full of visions to a wardrobe full of Intangibles made tangible. The process I’m highlighting through my journey is the biggest intangible we all have, our brain, which he act out of everyday. The better Intangibles, the overall better health of our lives.

Marcus , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
At the age of 24, I have already did things and accomplished goals that many dream of, and I am only grateful and humble to experience what I have made it through. Most don’t know, but my nickname is ‘Money’ and it speaks for the Intangibles that come from my brain, one of the most powerful Intangibles we have. At the age of 18, I attended MSU and was given the opportunity to try out for one of the most powerful collegiate NCCA programs in the history of its existence. I successfully walked on in October of 2016, played, participated and contributed to the team that year. I graduated from MSU in 2020 with a bachelors degree in Advertising management and a minor in entrepreneurship, definitely speaks for my current self-employment. I’m a jack of all trades, I will and can have my hand in many great things and my presence and expertise in many areas helps better environments and the people in them. A big inspiration for Money Intangibles and the purpose I want everybody to know. The Intangibles are more important than anything we can see in this world. We are all artist, and co-creators made by our creator. Connecting with our inner self(through intangibles) and working on our weaknesses while keeping negativity away gets a closer to our creator, the God Intangible. Something we all have as humans, just have to connect closer through intangible shadow work.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
So far, from 2020 to October 2020, all of my promotions and marketing strategies have been organic and natural. I haven’t opted into paid promotions and marketing teams yet, so most of my contributions to marketing has been word of mouth, and building that digital platform for clients to and customers to come and take in the content I’ve created along with the garments as well. I have my own Intstagram page that I have built to over 1.2K followers. Now I plan on reaching out to a wider target audience through paid promotions though Facebook ad manager and Instagram.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Some of the most effective strategies for me that has grown my clientele is live pop-up shops, being able to connect with various individuals who purposely come out to shop. I’ve also had a contract deal in Fairlane Mall, and shopping center here in Michigan where I stocked a few of my garments for about 4-5 months. Only ended up pulling my garments out due to the lack of professionalism at the store. Besides that, I need to get back into the retail space. Everything is now going through myself and the online store.
