Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Marckson François. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Marckson , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your creative career sooner or later?
If I could go back, I wouldn’t think twice—I’d start my creative career sooner. For far too long, I let the weight of other people’s opinions hold me back. It wasn’t until I realized that confidence starts from within, no matter the circumstances, that I truly began to thrive.
I believe in divine timing, but I also understand the importance of taking ownership of my journey. Looking back, I wish I had held myself more accountable sooner, but I can’t fault my past self for working with the knowledge and tools I had at the time. Life has a way of teaching you through experience, and every challenge has prepared me for the opportunities I’m now stepping into. My faith has been my compass, leading me toward places I never thought I could go.
Starting earlier might have accelerated my growth, but the lessons I’ve learned along the way—about resilience, self-belief, and perseverance—are irreplaceable. At the end of the day, it’s not about how early you start; it’s about having the courage to start and the determination to keep going.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’ve been modeling for some time, and recently, my work in both modeling and acting has started to gain some momentum. Originally from West Orange, New Jersey, and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, my journey has been one of perseverance, self-discovery, and embracing every opportunity to grow. The road hasn’t always been easy, but every challenge has fueled my determination to keep pushing forward.
What drives me is the belief that creativity thrives through collaboration. I approach every project with energy, a willingness to learn, and a genuine commitment to bringing ideas to life. For me, it’s not just about standing in front of the camera—it’s about creating something meaningful and leaving a lasting impression.
Modeling Marckson is more than just a personal brand; it’s a symbol of resilience, authenticity, and the belief that with passion and purpose, we can achieve more than we ever thought possible.
In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
Support truly goes a long way. There’s a quote that’s always stuck with me: “If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together.” When I started this journey, I believed I had to carry everything on my own shoulders. And in some ways, it has felt like a solitary path. But I’ve come to realize just how powerful a supportive team—whether it’s friends, family, or a broader community—can be in helping you go further than you ever imagined.
I feel like society often pushes this idea of perfection—what we should look like, how we should act—and it can be easy to get caught up in those expectations. But I’ve always valued originality. In a world full of imitators, authenticity speaks louder than anything else. It’s not always easy to stay true to yourself, but it’s worth it because that’s what creates genuine connections and lasting impact.
I truly believe that when we combine support, collaboration, and a shared purpose, we have the ability to transform not just our own lives but the lives of those around us. Kansas City is growing into a creative hub, and I want to be part of that movement. My goal is to help rewrite the narrative—one rooted in authenticity, inspiration, and the belief that when we uplift one another, we all rise together.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
When I started, I didn’t have a clear mission, but over time, I’ve discovered how much I thrive in positive, encouraging environments. Negative self-talk can be draining and hold you back, and I’ve felt that weight. I’ve learned that manifesting your goals and staying strong in your faith can turn challenges into opportunities. Now, I’m focused on becoming a leader who inspires change, spreads positivity, and empowers others to believe in their own potential. My goal is to leave a legacy that shows the power of staying true to yourself and growing through it all.
