We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Marciano Ceballos. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Marciano below.
Marciano, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I’ve been artistic since childhood—creativity has always been in my blood. From an early age, I was drawn to music and visual art, eventually pursuing music at Golden West College. I later worked at an art warehouse, where I gained hands-on experience with professional tools and crossed paths with a wide array of inspiring artists throughout Southern California. I’ve spent most of my life sketching and painting, but it wasn’t until after college that I truly found myself on the path to artistry and began shaping my creative career. The moment I embraced art as more than a passion—as my calling—everything clicked. Today, I continue to grow as an artist, driven by the thrill of expression and the endless possibilities of visual storytelling.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I grew up in Southern California and have been painting for most of my life. But it wasn’t until 2022 that I truly began to take my art seriously. That year, I started receiving feedback and critiques—and shortly after, the incredible opportunity arose for me to showcase my work in galleries.
I’ve always been captivated by the deep connections we have with ourselves and the personal experiences that shape who we are. This led me to begin using puzzle pieces in my artwork as a metaphor for those inner complexities—each piece representing a fragment of our identity, memory, or journey. At first, puzzles appeared as imagery within my paintings. But over time, they evolved into the very surface I paint on.
The result? A completely unique texture that draws viewers in. There’s something mesmerizing—almost playful—about the tactile quality of a puzzle, and people can’t help but lean in closer.
What I’m most proud of is being able to share my work in galleries across Southern California and invite others to reflect, connect, and lose themselves in the details

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My mission as an artist is rooted in a deep commitment to self-growth, discipline, and authentic communication. Through discipline, I transform inspiration into physical works that speak to resilience and vision. My art isn’t just for me—it’s a powerful vehicle for sharing my ideas, sparking dialogue, and inviting others to see the world through my lens. It’s in this cycle of introspection and outward expression that my creative drive truly comes to life.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
One of the most rewarding aspects of being an artist, for me, is the continuous growth and self-discovery that comes with the process. Every project becomes a mirror, reflecting new insights and revealing parts of myself I hadn’t fully explored. Just as meaningful are the connections I form—fellow creatives, curious observers, and unexpected collaborators who leave lasting impressions and shape my journey. But perhaps the greatest gift is being able to share my ideas with the world, turning personal vision into something that resonates with others, sparks thought, and builds bridges across experiences.
