Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Marce Adame. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Marce, appreciate you joining us today. Are you happy as a creative professional? Do you sometimes wonder what it would be like to work for someone else?
Being a creative is amazing because it lets me be myself and explore my thoughts. Creativity is like a wild ride—it has ups and downs, but that chaos brings new and exciting things into my life.
As someone who has never worked for anyone, I sometimes think about having a regular job for the security it offers, knowing money is coming. However, being a creative allows me to earn based on how hard I work and how much time I put in, which feels rewarding.
It’s a constant balancing act between stability and the freedom of creativity. Despite the uncertainty, being a creative is fascinating and shapes not just my work but also who I am as a person.
Marce, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
From my earliest memories, I’ve been drawn to paintbrushes and colors more than toys, fueling my passion for art. As I ventured into makeup, I saw its parallels with traditional art forms, sparking the realization that it could become a viable career. Recognizing the perpetual growth of the booming beauty industry, I knew there would always be opportunities for success.
By meticulously navigating the process to become licensed, I seized the chance to study cosmetology at age 15. Upon high school graduation, I held the license to offer a wide range of beauty services, already having established a strong client base. Understanding the importance of quality products in this field, I launched my first online store at age 17 to support aspiring beauticians by providing products I personally use and trust.
My proudest achievement lies in my genuine passion, evident in the exceptional quality of services I provide. I thrive on challenging myself, striving to be a well-rounded artist rather than limiting myself to a single style.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
The core motivation behind my creative journey is to inspire future generations by showcasing that success isn’t limited to traditional societal norms. In this new era, we have the freedom to authentically be ourselves, pursue our passions, and still carve out a livelihood.
Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
Reading acts as a major catalyst for sparking new ideas, keeping me in a continuous learning mode. As an entrepreneur, I find there’s always something fresh to discover. A particular book for me has been, “Outwitting the Devil” by Napoleon Hill, written in 1938, it really changed my views on management and thinking. It highlighted the significance of maintaining an independent mindset rather than conforming to the crowd.
