Hi Mara , thanks for joining us today. Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea

From idea to execution. I would say my journey was destine, as a child I was extremely glamours, I would try different styles and looks even contributed to cheer leading, dance and music classes . While in high school I studied cosmetology and enjoyed hanging out with friends. As I went to college at Harris Stowe State University located in St. Louis Mo. which is my home city. I figured out my passions what I stand for, my reasons behind who I am as a growing model, entrepreneur & beautician. The journey to a successful career has not been easy I never gave up, prayed a lot however I never gave up. Mara’s Minks and Hair Extensions co. LLC was founded August 2018. inspiring beauty, quality & confidence through Self Care, Beauty Gear & Fashion Attire By Tamara B. I was 19 years old, with dream, a passion and I never turned back no matter the circumstances or doubt. As The journey continues the turmoils come harder, learning and growing into a women while also building a brand. I would say stay consistent and be confident in who you are is the best advice I have every received. Believe in yourself you are flawless no matter who is watching.

Hello new supporters, customers or clients I am Mara B. a Model, Entreprenuer, Beautician working to build a brand within the fashion and beauty industry. I am from the downtown St. Louis MO. area. I founded Mara’s Minks and Hair Extensions co. llc in 2018 with an idea is to broaden the beauty industry by providing self-care through cosmetology service as well as marketing beauty gear & fashion attire at an affordable price for everyone. Encouraging others to be of quality and feel confident while embracing beauty. The vision is to open a beauty bar first with services such as hair styling, manicuring pedicuring, eyebrow wax/tint, makeup services and lash extension service. To honor our motto the flawless experience, I will be sure the beauty bar is of quality, is beautiful & makes every customer or client feel confident when arriving & look flawless as they leave. I would like to expand MM & HE co. globally through our beauty gear and fashion attire, not just making this beauty brand a part of the mid-west region, for everyone. Encouraging others to love every part of their natural self and showing others how important self-care can be in your life. The smallest beauty gear item can increase your confidence and help you remember you are of quality, beauty and confidence. I am working hard to push my brand and beauty business to be a new inspiration for the generations behind me and before me that the message beauty, quality & confidence equals flawless. I strive to honor my brand by being the model of MM & HE co. standing for my inspiration beauty, quality & confidence.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?

Growing clientele can be difficult when first getting started, having patience and confident in your craft can help you. Not every customer or opportunity is meant for you. Make everything you do a passion and whats best for you will find you. Practice makes perfect, don’t be afraid of criticism, accept it and do better for you .

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

A lesson I had to unlearn is depending on others to help or get things done. As an entrepreneur everything you do is based on you and how hard you work to complete the task, how much effort you put into something will reflect on your brand or your reputation.
