Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Manuela Yeboah. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Manuela, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
“Manney Got The Shot” (MGTS)” is a digital content creation company that specializes in content creation for weddings and events, as well as providing social media management to help clients grow their social media presence. MGTS was founded by Manuela (Manney) Yeboah in 2020 but didn’t fully come into fruition until 2023.
I grew up in a family that documented everything—from first birthdays to kindergarten graduations, to ballet recitals in elementary school, to student government meetings in college, to study abroad experiences in Israel, and more. These life experiences inspired me to do the same for others through social media reels and TikTok videos.
The mission of MGTS is: “Creating content that shapes the digital world. Reinventing trends. Overcoming limits.” This motto is rooted in the scripture Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
This scripture underscores the empowerment and limitless potential MGTS embraces. It highlights the belief that, with Christ’s strength, no challenge is too great and no limit too imposing. At Manney Got The Shot, I’m committed to reinventing trends and pushing boundaries. I don’t just follow what’s popular—I innovate, transform, and create content that stands out and reshapes the digital landscape. Empowered and resilient, I tackle every challenge with determination, always striving to produce impactful content that leaves a lasting mark.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Manuela, but I’m known as “Manney”. I am a digital content creator based in New Jersey, though my services extend beyond the tri-state area and are available globally. I founded Manney Got The Shot in 2020, specializing in social media content creation for weddings and events.
I grew up in a family that documented every milestone—from first birthdays and kindergarten graduations to ballet recitals, student government meetings, and study abroad experiences in Israel. These moments shaped my passion for storytelling and capturing life through visuals. However, two key experiences truly shaped my journey in digital content creation.
The first is my service in my church, Kingdom Full Tabernacle International Ministries (KFT). At the end of 2019, I joined the church’s media team and began working the social media department. It was here that I learned the inner workings of social media management and content creation, specifically how to capture and document the work God was doing at KFT through short-form videos and engaging graphics.
The second milestone was the introduction of Instagram’s “Reels” feature in 2020, inspired by TikTok’s video format. At that time, I had already been creating short-form videos for both my church and personal projects. I had been consistent in producing content, which prepared me for the launch of Manney Got The Shot. I was ready to elevate my skills and expand my impact.
Fueled by passion and determination, I founded Manney Got The Shot using only my iPhone 12 and a vision to dominate the digital content creation space. With no fancy equipment or formal education in short-form content creation, I relied on my faith and the resources I had, believing that God would turn those humble beginnings into greatness.
Since 2020, I have been dedicated to capturing special moments at weddings and events through dynamic, short-form social media content. At Manney Got The Shot, I am committed to reinventing trends and pushing boundaries. With God’s guidance, no challenge is too great, and no limit is too imposing.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
One important lesson I had to unlearn on my journey was that I didn’t need the most expensive equipment to start Manney Got The Shot. Between 2020 and 2023, I hesitated to offer my services because I didn’t believe I could create high-quality content using just my iPhone 12. I thought no one would want to work with me or even look at my projects because I was just the “social media girl” recording “little videos on her phone.”
But the Lord helped me realize the immense power of social media—how it’s driven by people’s emotions and the impact content has on them. What truly resonates isn’t always the quality of the equipment, but the content itself—the way it entertains, moves, or inspires. That revelation removed my fear and inspired me to take Manney Got The Shot seriously and commit fully to this vision.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being a digital content creator is seeing how those I work with react to the content I create for them. Whether it’s reliving a moment through a trendy 15-second reel or a 1-minute-and-30-second recap TikTok video I made, their reactions inspire me to keep creating.
