We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Manny Larcher a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Manny, appreciate you joining us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
In terms of success as a business owner, I believe that first and foremost it is important to take care of yourself for ex; getting 7-8 hrs of sleep and working out at least 30 mins daily is a good start.
From there, I have some principles apart of my foundation including:
– Strategy is a commodity. Execution is an Art.
– You can be transactional or do life
– Relationship business
– Stay learning, stack skills
– Competition is for losers
– Actually, do community.
Remember:
Hard work and determination: Successful people are often willing to put in the (extra) time and effort to achieve their goals.
Passion and drive: This is often misunderstood, but motivation by a deep sense of purpose and passion is at the root.
Flexibility and adaptability: The ability to adapt to change and pivot when necessary is a key factor in achieving success.
Strong communication skills: Being able to communicate your ideas and collaborate with others effectively is critical for success.
Good time management: Successful people are often skilled at prioritizing tasks and managing their time efficiently.
Focus and discipline: Staying focused and disciplined in pursuing your goals is an essential factor in achieving success.
Continuous learning: Successful people are often lifelong learners who are always seeking to improve their skills and knowledge.
These are just a few examples, and many other factors can contribute to success. It’s important to remember that success is a personal journey, and what works for one person may not work for another.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
In my early 20s, I had a lot of success working in a financial-consulting role, a sales position where I competed against a room full of over 40+ other seasonal profesionals. It was during this experience, I discovered web design and development, leading to launching my first website, yourinfodaily.com in 2014, and then receiving an opportunity to join a startup, Ardina, which received investment from Rev1 Ventures and Cardinal Health in 2015, and was strategically acquired in 2017.
After this experience, I co-founded Stopwatch Creative, assisting startups, artists, professional athletes, and brands with various marketing services. When the pandemic created unforeseen complications for entrepreneurs, I created CollaborateandElevate.com, a SaaS platform helping others around the country connect to resources and opportunities, which has now blossomed to over 400 customers in 25 states and 5 countries!
We help our clients grow their businesses, plain and simple. I am a lifelong learner who enjoys digging deep into new technologies and nourishing ideas, enabling us to stay on top of the latest technologies that benefit our clients. I am most proud of the countless stories our clients share with us because of the by-product of our work in many cases, it’s beautiful and something that I do not take for granted.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
The best source has been utilizing my own personal network, sharing updates, doing breakfast or lunch, as well as attending industry-specific events.
