We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Mani Strings. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Mani below.
Mani, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
I pride myself on only being apart of meaningful projects in the entertainment industry. Often times the money and clout can take many creatives down a immoral path that later haunts them in life. I never wanted those problems so I chose to take the stairs instead of the quick elevator to fame and riches. I always want to have peace in knowing my morals are still in tact.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I started playing the violin and drums at 3 years old in Toledo, Ohio (my hometown) due to my mother DiAnne E’laine (Artist, singer, songwriter, multi instrumentalist.) My 1st paid show was at 6 years old where I was hired by the University of Toledo to play pomp and circumstance at their graduation ceremony.
Having daily discipline has been a major part of my daily routine as a artist/ and business woman. I believe that keeping a strict regiment every day gives me high energy and focus to get the job done at the best quality regardless of how I may feel. Feelings don’t pay bills… discipline, consistency, and practice does though.
As a engineer and producer and mentor for many artists/creatives I help them navigate through the music industry as being independent. I use my experiences and help them develop their sound, image, and brand.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I’ve almost lost it all over 30+ times in 10 years since being in Los Angeles. But I also held it together and came out on top over 30+ times. Each L i took was a lesson that has gotten me closer to where I want to be. When I first moved out here struggling was a understatement but I also held faith in knowing that where I was at was not my destination so I persevered.

Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
The 4 Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz is a book that I value and continue to practice the lessons years after 1st reading it. I highly recommend it to anyone as a good life guide to stay on ya path.
