We recently connected with Malia Sanders and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Malia, thanks for joining us today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
My definition of success is being at peace. Gratitude helps me maintain this level of success. When you are thankful for every little thing, there’s less for you to worry about.

Malia, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
As a kid growing up, I always watched and rarely assisted my mom in the kitchen. I was only interested in eating. I’ve always been a foodie but it wasn’t until the pandemic started that I discovered my love for cooking. Yes, I’m self taught! I started making short recipe videos. It grabbed the taste buds of many hungry followers. Upon many request, I finally decided to share passion and start my business Deliciouslee as a personal chef!
Deliciouslee is a personal chef and catering business! When you book the Deliciouslee Experience you will get the luxury of having a personal chef come to you and prepare a gourmet meal of your choice. You can expect quality ingredients, flavorful dishes, cleanliness, professionalism, and a memorable luxury experience for you and your guest!
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Social media! Most of my clients find me on Instagram and TikTok!

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
The most significant lesson I’ve had to unlearn is you have to struggle to reach your goals. I could go on and on for days and days about this subject alone ! One of my goals when I started my business was to write a cook book. In my head I thought this would be something extremely challenging because I’ve never done it before. Something I would accomplish after years of being in business. With some advice from my boyfriend who has a funnel / marketing business, I learned writing a book is easier than I thought. I now have 2 E- Books published in my first year of business! To keep it short I would just say get a mentor! They can help you achieve your goals faster without making all the mistakes!
