We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Malcolm Davis a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Malcolm , appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.

It took me years, learning to tap into my creator side that i didn’t know even existed. i Have been playing baseball all my life. traveled overseas to Australia, so i felt like my life was already set and laid out for me. When I graduated from college. This is where it all Started with me and my best friend Chris Drake better know as BIGGZ. We Wanted to find a way to reach people and to get the joy out of them because we know that life can be overwhelming sometimes. For our podcast Show SLIM n BIGGZ we always say that one laugh can save a life. We Never really knew how many people we actually have an affect on. We started doing comedy skits people started laughing calling saying that we are funny. It was one comedy skit we did outside of the gas station, from that point on i knew we was on to something. i told him we can really make a living from this. bringing joy to others. It has been two years now that we have been pursing a creative/ artistic Professional path.

Malcolm , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I am Malcolm Davis and Chris Drake, Better Known as Slim n Biggz. We are in the creator industry, Film & Editing Comedy. we do it all. We Have a podcast, we do comedy skits, shorts films. Also have a tv show coming out this Summer Called “OUR World”. Our Platform is based around comedy. We focus on the funny things that happens around life. Just Reality. We feel that one laugh can save a life. so many people are going through things now days, but just to be able to laugh and take your mind off of the problem for a one sec is a blessing cause people are killing themselves. Once we organized our platform we started reaching out, bringing others to the podcast to laugh and tell stories, moments when they was feeling down. Funny Moments in they pass that people can laugh about. giving knowledge to the people that are watching and listening. Our Biggest focus is to touch as many people that we can. Give them a different perspective on life. Not Just Laughing and joking about people. What set US different from others would be that we are for the people. we genuine care and want to help and change lives. we laugh and joke most times but we also know when to be serious. Proud to be able to have the platform to help other and where people can just come too if the want to laugh. What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

The Most Rewarding aspect of being an artist or creator i feel would be just getting good feed back from your work. Someone coming up to you acknowledge that your work is awesome, Telling you they love it and to keep going. Its a great feeling and it lets you know that you’re doing something right. You’ll Start feeling yourself more. I feel like that is rewarding cause there are times where it took me hours to finish a project then i get to second guessing the work. Don’t think anyone would like it. Prolly wont get the feed back you want. i feel as an artist we all are going to go through that stage at some point in our career honestly. So Just hearing and seeing the good feed back is most defiantly rewarding.

Have you ever had to pivot?

There has been moments in my life where i was working a job and still trying to balance out my career, my dreams. there has been so many times i just wanted to walk out of my job and drop my badge off at the front desk and say i was done. I have done that a few times. I had to learn to take risks and jump out on faith. I knew that the job wasn’t something i was trying to do for my life. I knew and seen it what i wanted to do. People wont be able to see your dream until you make it come true. Thats because it’s your vision. So i picked up a part time job instead of working full time. Just so i can be able to lance things out. Bills was still due on the first.
