We recently connected with Mailik Green and have shared our conversation below.
Mailik , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
The cities I create all have purpose and meaning most of them have been designed and named after family and myself. They feature within them utopias that show an interesting hidden history, castle’s , monoliths, pyramids all show up in most scenes I draw.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I have been drawing since before I was one years old. My parents told me I used to draw things on spare paper and also an etch and sketch toy that they got for me so art is an embodiment of myself being free , creative and imaginative has always came with ease to me. In school I drew pictures for competitions and for my teachers as well , I turned it into my first profit by selling my drawings and also doing art projects for other students. In my spare time it’s what I like to do to relax my mind and also expand my imagination. Today I have a few websites where you can purchase my original pieces and also get my artwork designed on various merchandise. What sets me apart from many artist is that I have range with my artwork with it being cartoons, cityscapes, abstract paintings , portraits I add a twist to everything and I’m not afraid of challenging myself to create new things. What I would like as of currently is more sales with original pieces that’s in surplus , check out my social media and website for more!

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Having the freedom to create whatever I would like without caring about any judgments, also being able to expand my imagination, no matter what age I become, and also trying new mediums of art and mastering it.

Do you think there is something that non-creatives might struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can shed some light?
Where can I start? Engagement, engagement is key! It’s very crucial for my followers, friends and family to have engagement with my artwork on social media sites whether is liking it posting it telling other ones about it that is a major component to growing my business. Support is very important, especially for artist because the need for our craft is very unique, and also the majority of the population has to understand the value of artwork and the reasoning behind prices all the best buildings and the greatest people are are tied to the arts, owning great works that celebrates it.
