We recently connected with Maia Cabral and have shared our conversation below.
Maia , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Do you manage your own social media?
When it comes to social media, I focus on keeping it simple in terms of content. I want to be in charge and be able to manage my own ideas. This way is more effective in my opinion. However I find it a little complex since social media is always changing.

Maia , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m a model, and a fashion designer. I’ve been modeling for about 10 years and I have a fashion brand that focus on mostly swimwear. I do a lot of made to order customized pieces as well.
I really enjoy what I do, I’m more spontaneous than I am disciplined. But I am very constant and love everything I do. It’s important to do what makes you happy.
I work a lot during Fashion Week, in runway shows and in low season I switch to designing.
So, the routine is never the same as you can imagine. Which it also allows me to travel and work from anywhere.
I document and blog about my work, which is another job in itself, being a digital content creator it’s a lot of fun!

Can you share your view on NFTs? (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)
As a designer and a creative person I am in favor of NFTs. Actually I work with Bugatti Bags in a project for crossbody and carry ons bags with one of my prints from my Psychedelic Collection from my brand Maiia.
This project started with NFTs and we collaborated together and now we have Carry ons on sale available to everyone!

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I am from a very small town in Argentina.
Not too many opportunities for someone like me with so many aspirations.
I always dreamt of better things in general. For me to achieve careers, goals and make my dreams come true is very important. I think that’s what we came to this world to do.
There is a sense of responsibility as well.
I know what my calling in life is, that’s why I feel responsible of doing the things I need to do.
My journey so far it’s been a little bit difficult because most of the time I feel alone and not much support. This is the very thing that made me take matters on my own hands.
However, I can happily say that I am getting there, each year I am doing more and better. But it’s a process.
