Mahesh, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
The modeling and acting industry functions very differently in the global market than in India. I think the primary reason I have become used to the manner in which the US production houses work, is that it’s more structured and there is clear communication and direction throughout each and every step. However, having begun my journey in India, I am able to interact and work in both sides of the world.
Recently, I received the opportunity to work with a few mainstream production studios in two Hollywood on some up-and-coming movies. The role, albeit small, is still with a few well-known Hollywood stars. These opportunities are a dream come true! As an aside, both movies will be released in 2023. As a BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, Person Of Colour) actor of South Asian heritage, it is an honor to be a part of the Hollywood space. It’s not easy to get into that sphere.
Mahesh, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My international journey started in Texas working on print and commercials for global brands which led to me working with various production studios all over the United States. From a young age I have been passionate about fashion which led me to model. I began my journey in the industry from Hyderabad/India and so I definitely started in Tollywood. However, having moved to the US, my journey into fashion, photography and modeling continued here. Apart from being Telugu, I speak Hindi, Urdu and a few other regional languages of India. I have always been a big fan of South Asian films and am currently working on a role in a PAN India movie. Stay tuned for more details!

If it’s easy. Everyone will be doing it. To achieve anything, we love or are passionate. we need to be going through a journey of everything and you will learn in the process and get stronger day by day, and finally that makes you who you are! Keep working!
Every shoot is a great experience as I get to meet with highly creative talent and crew. I’ve learned a lot from every production. My recent part in which I was working alongside a few very well-known Hollywood stars, had me in awe. It’s been a dream come true for me to be on a set with actors who I have grown up watching in films. I had always dreamed of this kind of opportunity and now it’s becoming a reality.
Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?
I would always suggest getting proper training or having a mentor in whatever area you choose to work! I wish I knew it at an earlier stage of my life!
