We recently connected with Maggie Boillot and have shared our conversation below.
Maggie, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
My journey towards coaching stems from a series of pivotal moments in my life, each shaping my path and purpose. Among these, a decade-long toxic relationship stands out as a defining chapter. For years, I devoted myself entirely to supporting both my partner and our shared business dream. Yet, in the process, I lost sight of my true self, overshadowed by his ambitions and consumed by manipulation and deceit.
Enduring this toxic cycle for a decade left me feeling trapped and adrift, longing for escape yet lacking the courage to break free. It took six months of intense personal development for me to rediscover my self-belief and muster the strength to leave behind everything I knew: the business, the relationship, and even my role as a stepmother. Though it meant losing it all, this departure became my reclamation—a journey from defining my past to refining my purpose.
Through my own trials and transformations, I’ve come to realize my calling: guiding other women through similar journeys of self-discovery and empowerment. I believe in illuminating the path towards embracing one’s authentic self, regardless of past struggles or societal expectations. It’s about recognizing our intrinsic value and reclaiming control over our happiness.
I’m committed to addressing a common challenge among women—the feeling of living in someone else’s shadow or losing oneself in toxic relationships. Whether it’s a partner, friend, or family member, we’ve all faced moments of doubt, setback, or self-doubt. My mission is to empower women to reclaim their strength and unlock their full potential through mindset and self-development.
Together, we’ll rewrite narratives, break free from limitations, and forge paths aligned with our truest selves. Because our worth isn’t defined by others—it’s found within, waiting to be unleashed.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
At 38, with 18 years in hairstyling and 11 in fitness, I’m now diving into coaching. My aim? Empowering women through workshops and courses to reclaim their essence, unlock potential, and live with passion.
Life’s taught me that setbacks aren’t roadblocks, but stepping stones. Failure is part of success, and it’s okay to start over. Together, we’re stronger, supporting each other through life’s challenges.
In fostering a nurturing space for women, I seek to impart a vital truth: we are never alone in our struggles. Whether confronting daunting challenges or smaller obstacles, our collective strength lies in our unity. Together, we can weather any storm, emerge stronger, and propel each other forward.
My greatest joy is inspiring women to radiate authenticity—to shine brightly, unapologetically, as their true selves. When we embrace our imperfections and stand unwavering in our truth, our vibrational energy becomes a force to be reckoned with—a beacon of empowerment, 400 times more potent than love itself.
I eagerly anticipate the connections that await us, each one a thread weaving into the fabric of lifelong friendships.
Let’s connect, learn, and grow together on this journey called life.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Resilience was a concept unfamiliar to me until a chance encounter with a woman who, after hearing snippets of my story, remarked, “I want to be resilient like you.” Her words prompted me to ponder what resilience truly entailed, as I had never considered myself in such terms before. Nevertheless, accepting it as a compliment, I thanked her, though the full meaning of resilience eluded me at the time.
Raised in the school of hard knocks, I’ve stumbled and fallen countless times. Yet, with each setback, I’ve learned invaluable lessons, each failure serving as a stepping stone towards discovering my true purpose in life.
One incident stands out vividly in my memory as a testament to resilience: amidst the turbulent journey of building my online fitness business, I encountered a setback of a different kind—a vicious dog attack that left my right hand mangled. This blow came on the heels of the dissolution of my previous fitness venture with my ex-partner. Despite the devastation and heartache, I refused to succumb to despair.
As I often teach other women, every setback carries within it a hidden blessing or silver lining, guiding us toward growth and self-improvement. In the midst of my anguish, I realized that this incident was a wake-up call—a nudge to reassess my choices and prioritize my well-being. Although initially consumed by anger and disappointment, I recognized the necessity of this detour in my journey.
With resilience as my guide, I dusted myself off and embarked on a quest for new opportunities, fueled by a renewed sense of purpose and determination. For me, resilience isn’t just about bouncing back—it’s about embracing adversity as a catalyst for personal growth and transformation.
Have you ever had to pivot?
When I ventured into network marketing, I hoped it would lead me away from a hairstyling career that no longer resonated with my passion and purpose. Initially, the journey seemed promising, with a rapid and exhilarating start. However, it soon became apparent that this path wasn’t meant for me, despite having already bid farewell to my hairstylist days.
Undeterred by setbacks, I embarked on a quest for my true calling. Venturing into digital marketing briefly, I quickly realized it wasn’t the direction I sought. Yet, amidst uncertainty, a beacon of clarity emerged—I turned to Instagram, drawn to its potential for community-building and empowerment.
Leveraging Instagram’s platform for themed pages aligned seamlessly with my vision of serving and uplifting women through mindset and self-confidence coaching. This pivot proved to be the catalyst I needed, offering both fulfillment and purpose as I embarked on building my coaching program and cultivating a meaningful personal brand.
