We were lucky to catch up with Maggi Quinn recently and have shared our conversation below.
Maggi, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
I am dedicated to establishing a legacy built upon five foundational pillars:
1. Being a Mother:
At the heart of my legacy is my role as a mother. I strive to be an exceptional mom to my children, Millie (5.5) and Campbell (3). This involves nurturing their growth, providing love and support, and instilling in them the values I hold dear. My dedication to being a mother underscores the importance of family in my life and legacy, as I aim to raise my children to be kind, confident, and capable individuals.
2. Empowerment and Mentorship:
I aim to create environments where individuals, especially women, feel empowered to reach their full potential. By providing mentorship, I seek to guide others through their personal and professional journeys that have gotten them to where they are today, offering support, wisdom, and encouragement. My focus is on fostering growth, confidence, and leadership skills, ensuring those whom I mentor have the tools to succeed and inspire others in turn.
3. Personal Development:
Personal growth and self-improvement are crucial to my legacy. I am committed to continuous learning and development, not just for myself but also for those around me. This pillar emphasizes the importance of self-awareness, goal-setting, and the pursuit of new skills and knowledge. I believe that investing in personal development leads to a more fulfilled and impactful life, both personally and professionally.
4. Honesty:
Honesty is a core value in my life and legacy. I prioritize integrity and transparency in all of my interactions, fostering trust and respect. By being truthful and open, I hope to set a standard for ethical behavior and encourage others to do the same. My commitment to honesty ensures that my relationships, both personal and professional, are built on a solid foundation of mutual respect and authenticity.
5. Innovation:
I champion creativity and forward-thinking. I value the importance of innovation in driving progress and solving problems. By encouraging a culture of curiosity and experimentation, I hope to inspire others to think outside the box and embrace new ideas. This pillar reflects my belief that innovation is key to staying relevant and making significant contributions to any field.
Through these pillars, I hope to leave a lasting and positive impact on the world, marked by empowered individuals, continuous personal growth, unwavering honesty, innovative thinking, and a loving, supportive family.
I imagine people might remember me for my ability to engage and connect with others, hopefully seeing me as someone who genuinely cared about their well-being and growth. I’d hope to be remembered for making a positive impact, whether through insights shared, assistance given, or simply by being a supportive presence in the lives of those around me.



As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Growing up in Alabama, there is a deep-rooted passion for Auburn and Alabama football. You chose an allegiance from an early age and for me, that allegiance was to Auburn. As I began exploring options for college, the contrarian in me wanted to branch out, do something different, and go somewhere where I would not know anyone. However, when I became honest with myself, I knew that my burning desire to always go to Auburn was something that I could not ignore. My time at Auburn was filled with some of the best years of my life, making new friends and staying friends with those I had known before. As my college career was coming to a close, I set my sights on the “big city” of Atlanta and decided to make the move post-graduation.
With a major in Human Resources, I had no idea what my next step in life would look like and at the time was keen on finding any job that could help pay the bills. My professional path began with an interview for, unbeknownst to me, what would become my career path at Intrepid – at the time of my start, known as Strategic Employee Benefit Services.
The initial role in my career provided valuable experience in customer service, understanding the intricate dynamics of health insurance, compliance, and the pivotal role these play in shaping employee satisfaction and organizational success.
My journey in the employee benefits sector deepened as I embraced roles that allowed me to directly engage with employers and employees alike. I honed in on my expertise in designing comprehensive benefits packages tailored to meet diverse workforce needs, ensuring employees felt valued and supported.
Throughout my career, I have been an advocate for innovation in benefits solutions, striving to introduce progressive ideas that enhance both employer offerings and employee experiences. My commitment to honesty and transparency has been a cornerstone in building trust with my clients, future clients, and colleagues.
I hope to always be considered a driving force in the employee benefits industry, recognized for my dedication to empowering employers through personalized benefits strategies for their employees and my unwavering advocacy for contrarian solutions.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Client referrals play a crucial role in generating new clients for Intrepid.

Any advice for managing a team?
Managing a team of all women ;) and maintaining high company culture and morale requires a combination of different skill sets. Thankfully, our team is made up of individuals who have leadership skills, empathy, clear communication, and proactive engagement. The tenure on our team is unmatched which plays a pivotal role in the high morale that Intrepid sustains.
