Maelin, appreciate you joining us today. Day to day the world can seem like a tough place, but there’s also so much kindness in the world and we think talking about that kindness helps spread it and make the world a nicer, kinder place. Can you share a story of a time when someone did something really kind for you?

The kindest thing anyone has ever done for me was to lead me to GOD, and the person GOD used for this task was my mom.

In 2018, my mom got baptized and fully gave her life to GOD. After doing so, she began growing spiritually and sharing what she learned (from her walk with GOD) with me.

This is a gift I deeply cherish, because if GOD hadn’t used my mom to help transform my life, I would be lost in the world, growing more and more distant from HIM.

However, the process of her leading me to GOD WAS NOT EASY AT ALL. There were many times along this journey when we struggled, got discouraged, or felt overwhelmed. This was due to me “not getting it” or having a hard time surrendering.

Yet, GLORY TO GOD, HE didn’t give up on me and neither did she. After GOD gave me a testimony that I will NEVER forget, HE allowed me to “get it” (fully come to HIM).

This then resulted in my life-changing transformation and a higher understanding of GOD.

As of right now, GOD still has my mom helping me on my walk with HIM and for that I am thankful.

“Thank YOU GOD for everything. And thank you Mom for listening to HIM and walking with me.”

Maelin, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

What I want people to know first and foremost about my business is that it is GOD-given and for HIS GLORY!

In 2022, when I was just 14 years old, I never imagined becoming a business owner—it wasn’t even on my mind. Yet that thought process changed when GOD came to me. HE planted a seed in my heart, a vision for something far greater than myself. And that seed grew into a business for HIS GLORY— The seed of Blessed Beautifully.

Blessed Beautifully is a black-owned hair and body care business created to help people Glow and Grow in GOD.

Our very first product, Blessed Beautifully Moisturizing Hair Cream, is designed to promote healthy hair growth, curl definition, moisture, and softness.

Back in 2023, after MANY years of trial and error, GOD gave me the perfect recipe for this product! HE showed me the ingredients to use and guided me every step of the way.

Since sharing this product with others, I’ve received MULTIPLE testimonies of people experiencing hair growth, reduced hair loss, thicker hair, and softer hair.

I recently received a testimony in which someone said, “My daughter and I tried the hair cream yesterday. Loved it. My scalp is itchy at times due to cold weather, and the mint touch made it feel amazing. No more itchy scalp so far.”

I am grateful GOD has blessed me with this business and the ability to handcraft products that truly benefit others.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?

A pivotal moment in my life was when I chose to walk GOD’s path.

For most of my life, I followed the ways of the world—I thought like they did, lived like they did, and did what they did. This worldly cycle went on for years.

However, everything changed in 2022. After eating a dish that unknowingly contained peanuts (which I’m allergic to), I had a near-death experience. Yet, by the GRACE of GOD, I am still here.

That moment became a turning point for the rest of my life. It was then that I made the decision to pivot—away from the world’s ways and toward GOD’s path.

GOD truly “called me out of darkness into HIS marvelous light.” (1 Peter 2:9)

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

A story from my journey that illustrates my resilience was when satan desired for me to die.

This story goes back to my near death experience…As I rode in the ambulance with my mom, fighting to survive, I remember seeing satan. Around him was all black, and he himself was the color gray.

Next to him, however, was the book of death. And he desired for my name to be written in it.

It was then that I began saying these affirmations: “I AM FORGIVEN”, “I AM DELIVERED”, “I AM REDEEMED”, and “I AM SET FREE.”

After saying these things, I no longer saw satan or the darkness. Instead, I remember GOD showing me something, speaking to me, and then BLOWING HIS BREATH OF LIFE back into my lungs.

This moment not only illustrates my resilience yet reveals the POWER, MERCY, and GRACE OF GOD.
