Maelin, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
To begin with, success isn’t defined by how much money you have, nor by how many people know your name. Success is defined by your walk with GOD and your obedience to HIS call.
When you are in alignment with HIS will, live your life for HIM, and finally receive your reward—a “Crown of Life”—THAT is true success.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a wealthy millionaire or own HOUSES on many hills; if your name is not written in GOD’s Book of Life, the life you lived would’ve been in vain.
So, to conclude this question, I believe that true success in life comes from walking GOD’s path, obeying HIS Voice, and being FAITHFUL to HIM in everything you do.

The story of how I got into the industry I am in right now is ALL GLORY TO GOD.
It all started back in 2022 when GOD gave me the idea for a business. I didn’t have experience working in the hair and body care industry; however, GOD gave me the passion I needed for it.
After many years of watching hair and skin care videos, spending hundreds on products, and practicing on my own hair, GOD turned my passion for beauty into a business for HIS GLORY: Blessed Beautifully.
Blessed Beautifully is a black-owned hair and body care business created to help people Glow and Grow in GOD. My goal with this business is to help people embrace the natural beauty GOD has gifted them with, using plant-based products that benefit their overall body.
What sets Blessed Beautifully apart from most hair and body care brands is the fact that it is GOD-Given, Faith-based, teen-owned, and black-owned.
Our latest product, Blessed Beautifully Moisturizing Hair Cream, is a hair growth gem! One year ago, GOD gave me the recipe and means to create this product. After using it, my family and I haven’t turned back! It has been our go-to product for curl definition, hair growth, and moisture. I have truly seen a difference in my hair from using this product, and I encourage anyone and everyone to try it for themselves.
Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
A Book that has significantly impacted my entrepreneurial journey and life in general is The Bible.
The Bible has been a guide for me and my family, helping us learn more about GOD, HIS heart, and HIS will for our lives.
Around six years ago, after my mom gave her life to GOD, HE began pouring into her through HIS Word (The Bible). Through her transformation, she was able to pour into me, leading to a profound and GODLY transformation in my own life.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
A lesson I had to unlearn was relying on my own understanding. It’s a common struggle for many, but it’s not easy to let go of.
This lesson became clear to me during the process of creating my first product: Blessed Beautifully Moisturizing Hair Cream.
About two years ago, GOD gave me the idea to handcraft a moisturizing hair cream. Along with the idea, HE revealed the benefits of the product—even though I didn’t have the actual product yet.
For a long time, I tried to figure things out on my own. I kept mixing different ingredients together, convinced I had found the right combination—only to realize I hadn’t.
This cycle of leaning on my own understanding went on for quite a while. Yet in 2023, GOD spoke to me and gave me the key I had been missing: the perfect recipe for Blessed Beautifully Moisturizing Hair Cream.
From then, I began formulating this GOD-Given product and haven’t turned back!
In conclusion, the Words GOD spoke to me were truly a gem to be cherished! HE unlocked a door for me that I myself couldn’t even open. And for that, I am thankful.
