We recently connected with Madisyn Kuehn and have shared our conversation below.
Madisyn, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
I believe success starts with taking action. While not every idea is meant to become reality—some are better left as ideas—I’ve seen too many people talk about what they want or wish they could do without ever starting. It can be tough to trust yourself when there’s no clear ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ path. But to me, success is about making a choice and moving forward with it—turning a thought into something real.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’ve always been a creative at heart, especially when it comes to curating experiences, planning details, and getting hands-on with crafts. I started the charmbar as a way to help small businesses bring people into their spaces for a fun, interactive event that anyone can enjoy, no matter their age. I handle all the marketing, so business owners have one less thing to worry about, and I love building connections with them to make sure each event is a success—from planning to setup.
At charmbar pop-ups, I’m there to guide each guest in designing their own charm necklace, bracelet, or keychain, making sure everyone feels inspired and supported. But my main role is driving foot traffic for the businesses that host me. By managing all the marketing for each event, I aim to create memorable experiences for customers while giving local businesses a boost.

How did you build your audience on social media?
I’ve built my social media presence by focusing on what I naturally enjoy watching myself. Paying attention to the content that grabs your attention and feels relatable can make answering the ‘What should I post?’ question a lot easier. If you like watching certain styles of posts, chances are a lot of others do too.
I always keep my posts simple and clear about their purpose, and I think it’s best to post organically. If you’re comfortable with a straightforward photo or video, stick with that rather than forcing complex edits or effects that can feel overwhelming. I’ve also learned that my community loves behind-the-scenes moments. Setting up a quick timelapse as I prepare my charmbar pop-up is effortless, but it creates a reel that people find satisfying and engaging. Plus, it adds that personal, real-life touch to my business.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding part of being a creative is that I get to see and appreciate art everywhere, often on a deep level. Every experience, every piece of inspiration I come across adds something to my own creative process. I love taking in what I see around me and transforming it into my own ideas, whether I’m designing signage for charmbar pop-ups, crafting social media posts, or coming up with fresh event promotion ideas. It’s inspiring to be able to turn all those little moments of admiration into something uniquely mine.
