We recently connected with Madison Marie and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Madison Marie thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your creative career sooner or later?
I would not have changed anything going back to when I first started my business. I enjoyed the path that I have taken so far. I have very supportive friends and family which helped a lot. I have met a lot of people over the years through my business, the connections drive me to do more. It’s been so wonderful being able to be excepted in my truest form. My art is my passion, having people buy my art / clothing or anything I create is one of the most amazing things I’ve experienced in this life time. Someone had asked me recently “how did you know your work was good enough?” , I didn’t really know how to answer it honestly. I Just created work that I loved and when I put it out there other people loved it too. The validation feels good but even if someone didn’t like exactly what I created Maybe it just wasn’t made for them.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
I started vending at local music shows in my city. Art and music really go hand and hand , I love both. My Friday and Saturday Nights are dedicated to shows. I also live paint which I think gives a great experience to people who like going out and seeing something new.
I’m most proud of how my work has progressed over the years. I love working through my emotions and thoughts through my art work. Providing art work that is relatable naturally can heal peoples hearts and minds.
Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?
Listen, people who don’t create don’t understand how hard it is to be creative. YES it comes naturally sometimes but when you hit a period where you can’t put anything down on paper / canvas or whatever your medium is that really takes a toll on how you feel about yourself. When I feel like I “can’t “ create I try to go back to the basics. For me just doodling or listening to music can help. To get inspired I go out and have a new adventure with myself. The world is inspiring in many ways.

In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
Share like and subscribe duh , social media is way more powerful than you think. Also it’s free to support online if you can’t make it in person to an event. If your able to make it to an event show up. If your not showing up for your friends events your not really supporting. Small business/ Artists spend so much time getting their work together, please make time as a supporter to show up.
