Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Madison Eckstein. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Madison, thanks for joining us today. Have you signed with an agent or manager? Why or why not?

I signed with my modeling agency in December 2022. It was so crazy! I saw on instagram that they were having an open call with no requirements (such as height), and I knew that I had to be there and I had to try. My whole goal of 2022 was to get signed by an agency. It was a little over a 2 hour drive for me. I was so nervous the whole ride there but I was so excited! I had a good feeling about it. When I got there, the doors weren’t supposed to be open but someone was leaving and they let me in. So I was the very first person in line and I was 20 minutes early. I used the bathroom and then waited outside of the open call room door. I waited so long by myself that I thought I went to the wrong place. But then people started flooding in and me and the girls beside me all made small talk with each other. We were all so nervous. Finally, the time came where they opened the doors and called the first one in (me). I walked in as confident as I could, smiled, and shook everyone’s hand. The ladies that were the deciding factor really seemed to like me, and we laughed together and talked about modeling. It was like a 5 minute “interview”. When they were done asking me questions, I shook their hands again and thanked them for everything. They said they would be in touch. As I walked out, I heard “I really like her, she was so nice and beautiful!” It was amazing to hear and such a relief! The whole way to the car I couldn’t stop smiling, because I had a great feeling about it. A few days later at work, I got the call that the agency wanted to sign me!! I was so incredibly happy! I thought that the chances of me accomplishing getting signed was very small. I am so incredibly grateful!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

Well my name is Madison and I am 22 years old. I just recently got engaged! In my time, I do modeling, content creation, crafts, stream video games, write, skateboard, and so much more!

I knew I wanted to be a model when I was 16 (2016). I was so fascinated by it all! I did my own photoshoots here and there. I loved taking photos/getting mine taken. It wasn’t until 2022 where I decided I was going to put actual effort into it and I was gonna take it serious! I was going to go to the first open call I saw! And that’s what I did! And that made me want to start influencing as well. I loved taking pics, I loved doing things and sharing them online. Why not be an influencer? I am still growing every day, but I’m so proud of where I am so far! Getting signed is a dream come true of mine. And I fought to get that! And I still can’t believe it.

In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?

I think the most important thing is just supporting in any way possible! Whether that be liking/commenting/sharing a post, giving a good review, buying from small businesses, etc. Instead of donating to a celebrity or buying a celebs product, maybe try doing that for a good smaller creator who is trying their best to make whatever they’re doing their full time career. Celebrities and already wealthy people are well off, it would be great to put that towards someone in need!

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

My whole entire life goal is to make modeling and influencing my full time career. I want it so so bad. And I work towards that goal every single day. There is not a day of the week that I don’t put in effort to make that happen. I want that so badly for myself and for my fiancé. I want to make money doing something I absolutely love. I personally don’t want to be stuck at a 9-5 job for the rest of my life. And I’m gonna make sure that doesn’t happen!
