Alright, Madie thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?

My big WHY has always been to create freedom so that I can give. Give time, money, knowledge and energy where it is needed most. I wanted a vehicle to not only fund my “why” but also fund the “why” of others who are chasing a goal and dream of their own.

My goal is to build a legacy where the people I am lucky enough to impact, want to continue impacting others and providing opportunities that will fulfill their lives and have that multiplication effect continue on.

I hope to be remembered as the person who instilled belief in the people around me. Belief that they CAN do BIG things, that they CAN create the life/career/lifestyle/schedule that they desire, that they ARE capable and that they are worthy.

Madie, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I began my marketing career at a German Shepherd Rescue in California where I voluntarily did all of their Social Media Marketing. Two of my passions combined, German Shepherds and marketing, it really doesn’t get much better than that.

A few years later, I landed a Marketing Manager position with a Real Estate Team, The Bandimere Team. As I grew in my position, I realized the need for small business marketing leverage. I began dreaming…”What can I create to help prevent business owners from drowning and create freedom in their lives?”

With the help of my incredible mentors, Rick and Babette, I started laying the foundation, brick by brick, of what is now a company that is impacting the lives of so many. I knew my big WHY was to create freedom for myself so that I can give. Give time, money, knowledge & energy where I want and where it is needed most. I wanted a vehicle that was able to fund my “why” but also fund the “why” of others who are chasing a goal and dream of their own. March of 2021, Marketing By Madie was born and December 2023, we transformed into the much more fitting — Multiplieddd.

Multiplieddd is a full-service Marketing Agency, specializing in social media management, serving clients all over the United States. We work in a variety of industries including but not limited to – Healthcare, Health and Fitness Coaching, Real Estate, Construction, Dance, Cosmetology, Food, Restaurant, and more.

We take over the stress, time commitment & knowledge required to execute marketing that CONVERTS & ultimately grows your business.

We give you time back to focus your energy where it’s needed most – In forward-facing business tasks, spending quality time with your family instead of working into the night, etc.

I have not sold an entire business but I did sell a percentage of this business.

I will share the story first:
Rewind 3 years ⏪⏪⏪ I (Madie) was looking for the PERFECT go-getter to help me launch and build my dream from the ground up. I knew I wanted to lock arms with someone who was passionate, genuine, honest, giving, and trustworthy. Someone who wanted to do BIG things and create massive impact in the world. In November 2020 when I was creating an Instagram Story to attract talent for this exact role, I already had someone in mind that I was hopingggg would respond in the question box with “ME 🙋‍♀️”.

And…

SHE DID. Brooke Conlee (maiden name 🤪) popped in my DMs. At this point, I had known her for years as we danced at the same dance studio, Northern Force Dance Company growing up. While we were almost 7 years apart in age and didn’t know each other super well, for months leading up to this point, God had been sprinkling us into each other’s lives for a REASON. I knew this was it, and I knew it was just the beginning.

Fast forward 3 years ⏩⏩⏩ Brooke has helped me build Marketing By Madie, now Multiplieddd, into such a beautiful, unique and successful business. From the beginning, her heart has been 1,000,000% IN IT. Every decision she made, every action she took and every late hour she spent, she did so as if this baby was her own! She has such a gift of connecting with others. It’s so apparent and anyone that comes in contact with her KNOWS this. She has connected us with an insane amount of incredible clients.

With all of this…

We were THRILLED to offer Brooke Vescio the opportunity to become a Co-Owner & Co-CEO here at Multiplieddd. She is so deserving.

The lesson that I took away from this is one of our beliefs – “To go anywhere far and effectively, you need a team.”

Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?

Culture is SO important for a successful business and employees that last.

One bad apple can completely destroy a business’s culture and work environment.

We have been so protective over our culture, being very diligent about who we hire and when.

I have found that having an open-door policy has created a safe place for my employees that I manage to come to me with concerns, client issues, dreams, career growth desires, etc. It allows me to have the opportunity to give them advice, create solutions and also make sure we are in communication about the direction they are going and whether that is something that they can achieve here or not.

Back to the culture point, we do not put up with drama. It is just not acceptable here and honestly doesn’t exist.

Feedback is valued here and we make sure before hiring that they know feedback is not a bad thing, it is actually a GOOD thing and will help them grow. Creating that mindset has helped us dramatically.
