Madella , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. One of the most important things we can do as business owners is ensure that our customers feel appreciated. What’s something you’ve done or seen a business owner do to help a customer feel valued?
Our customers truly are the backbone of our business. Without them, we would not be able to grow and thrive. We like to give back to our customers in multiple ways to show them how much they are appreciated. For instance, we hold a holiday gathering for our clients where we provide refreshments and activities. Clients are each given a personalized gift and our students love engaging with each other in this fun, relaxed atmosphere. Similarly, we hold an awards ceremony each year to celebrate our students’ progress and victories. These events truly bring our customers together and even serve as wonderful team building activities.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Madella Stables was founded in 2021 to fill a void in our local community. While our area is extremely focused on agriculture, there was a lack of equestrian opportunities for the general population. As dedicated riders ourselves, we sought to provide an accessible avenue for children and adults to fulfill their passions.
We strive to provide our clients with a well-rounded equine education. We believe that being a horseman or woman encompasses much more than just riding, so we created a curriculum to cover all aspects of horse care, knowledge, and safety. A step by step curriculum is provided to every student so that they can prepare with their instructors and set goals for the future. There are no trick questions here at Madella Stables: it’s important to us that we are developing confident and knowledgeable equestrians. We also believe that learning is an intricate and individualized process, so we approach coaching with this in mind. Every action we make, skill we learn, or rule we must follow is thoroughly explained in order to fully understand its importance. Most of all, we believe in learning by doing, so students are able to put all their acquired knowledge into practice in order to fully grasp the concepts.
We view our members as a family and are extremely lucky to have a wonderful group of equestrians at the barn. The Madella Stables staff is always available to help and our entire team truly cares about each and every rider that walks through our doors.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Building a social media presence is a never-ending task, but we’ve found the most successful content is that which our clients can connect with. We utilize videos of our horses, fun trivia questions, and heartfelt equestrian quotes to engage with our followers.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
We have two main sources of new clients: social media and word of mouth. While our social media marketing has brought in many leads, word of mouth is often the best source. While this strategy may seem old-fashioned, it has ultimately generated a larger clientele for our services. Clients are more likely to take the plunge on a new venture if they have been referred by a trusted source.
