Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to MacKenzi Knight. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
MacKenzi, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Many people think that success is directly related to revenue, profits and popularity. Although, I do believe these factors play apart in success, success to me feels and looks differently. From the moment I started my business full time I knew I wanted to serve and reach people in a way that left an impression. I wanted my clients to not only get amazing photos but an experience that left them feeling happy, confident and secure. I always feel the most successful when I hear feedback from clients commenting on how great I made them feel and how supported they were through their time with me. Success is measured in the way people remember their time with you and how you touch their spirit and mind.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am a law student turned full time artist! Yes, you read that right, in 2019 I decided to do a 180 on my career path to pursue photography full time. It was the most nerve racking but fulfilling thing I’ve done and I’m so happy I took the leap of faith I did. I set out to create a wedding photography business that not only produced amazing photos but gave my clients a full experience full of love, support and servitude. I am so proud to own a business that is inclusive to all love stories and to capture people’s most happiest moments.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Reputation is HUGE in the wedding industry. I truly believe my love for not only my art but for my clients has led me to have a great reputation in my area. I have the most wonderful clients who have shared their experiences with me on google reviews, social media and with friends. Providing my clients with an unforgettable experience has helped spread the word on what my business is all about.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Being an artist is especially rewarding knowing that I am capturing my clients happiest moments. Being apart of a wedding means that I am seeing the rawest emotions of love and happiness. Being trusted by my clients to bring their wedding vision to life is the most rewarding.
