Loc’d N Vegan was born from our passion for health, fitness, and compassionate living. As twin sisters, we embraced a vegan lifestyle, experiencing the powerful impact on our well-being and the environment. Our quest for delicious, animal and soy-free meals led us to create Loc’d N Vegan, a meal prep service dedicated to providing nourishing, flavorful, and health-conscious options that prove healthy eating can be both enjoyable and satisfying. The idea took shape as we recognized a gap in the market for delectable plant-based meals. We aimed to dispel the misconception that taste must be sacrificed for health. With my sister’s expertise as a personal trainer, we saw an opportunity to offer a holistic health and fitness solution, empowering others to embrace a more wholesome lifestyle. The desire to make a positive impact and influence people’s perception of veganism excited us, fueling our determination to create a platform for positive change.

We also offer cold-pressed juices to complement our meals and promote overall well-being. What sets us apart from others is our commitment to promoting health, compassion, and inclusivity. We embarked on this journey towards a plant-based lifestyle after witnessing the impact of hereditary diseases on our elder family members. Determined not to be statistics of hereditary illnesses, we chose to adopt an animal-free diet to minimize any potential health risks. We want to show the world that healthy eating can be both enjoyable and satisfying, without compromising on taste or culinary creativity. We are most proud of the positive impact we have on our community’s health and well-being. Seeing our clients embrace a plant-based lifestyle and experiencing the transformation it brings is incredibly rewarding. Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
The story of how I met my co-founder and business partner is quite unique and deeply meaningful because she is my twin sister. Growing up together, we shared an unbreakable bond and a common vision for our future. As we embraced a vegan lifestyle and found our passion for health and fitness, the idea of starting a business together naturally took root. It was during one of our regular conversations about our aspirations that we realized our shared desire to create a meaningful impact on people’s lives through health-conscious living. We wanted to bring our individual expertise and strengths together to form a venture that aligned with our values and passions. The decision to include my twin sister as my co-founder was not just about sharing success but about sharing the joys, challenges, and triumphs of entrepreneurship with someone I deeply trusted and loved.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for growing our clientele has been a combination of word of mouth, participation in festivals, and offering shipping options. Each of these approaches has played a significant role in expanding our reach and attracting new clients. The personal recommendations and glowing reviews have helped us establish a strong reputation within our community and beyond, leading to a steady influx of new customers. Participating in festivals both locally and out of state has been instrumental in exposing our brand to a wider audience. These events provide a platform to showcase our delicious and unique plant-based offerings. By engaging directly with potential clients, we can forge meaningful connections, create brand awareness, and leave a lasting impression.
Offering shipping options has been a game-changer for reaching more people beyond our physical locations. It allows us to cater to clients who may not have access to our services locally, opening up new markets and opportunities for growth.
