Lyonne, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.

It began the moment it all ended!

I was a successful business owner. I have been my own boss since the age of 21, I loved every moment of my work; it was my passion. However, I was having this question arise: Is this really it? Societal conditioning would seem very satisfying after my achievements in a thriving business, a home, and a life enriched by travel, many friends, and much fun.

One day, a friend introduced me to an extraordinary mission—an invitation to journey to Africa, Tanzania, and climb the world’s highest free-standing mountain, Kilimanjaro. This was no mere adventure but a noble cause to raise funds to build a clinic and orphanage in Ethiopia. That moment marked the true awakening of my life’s greatest decision! The climb itself was a daring endeavor, and those seven days of trekking the majestic peak carved out precious moments with my climbing team that I will never forget. I also had the greatest opportunity of all, living in the present moment, one step at a time. Climbing to a peak of 5,895 meters (19,340 feet) above sea level, you have no choice but to be very present. That journey to the peak of Kilimanjaro changed my life forever! I had no idea how my life was going to turn upside down and inside out!

Two years later, I closed my nine-year business, sold my house, broke up from a nine-year relationship, and embarked on a path of self-realization. This journey has since unfolded across both the outer world—its vast landscapes and cultures—and the inner world, where I glimpsed upon my first spiritual awakening. Thus, a new chapter of my life, a great unknown, was upon me, and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

It all unfolded by Divine Grace.

I have always been very intuitive, my inner voice and gut feelings resonating with a clarity that drowned out the noise of the mind. For me, trusting this inner wisdom has never been a struggle—intuition has always held the loudest, most compelling volume.

In the past, I thrived as a hair stylist, a passion I had for creativity, fashion, and beauty. Enhancing the beauty of so many people. Yet, what truly ignited my spirit was the intimate, one-on-one connection with each client—a space where my natural gifts as a guide blossomed. I possessed an innate ability to listen deeply, to hold a safe space with presence, and people entrusted me with their hearts and secrets, sharing the raw truths of their life’s struggles.

Thought I knew that cycle was coming to a completion. Everyone around found that to be very strange, knowing how happy I was with my work, but beyond the rationale exists a deeper intuition. The time matured me to let go of that chapter and venture beyond. I relocated to Asia, Thailand.

I made Thailand my home base, and from there, I embarked on various soulful journeys to India and Bali, seeking the essence of “Who am I?”. That is where I had my first spiritual awakening. My soul guides zapped my inner eye and I was shown a profound vision about my own soul. I saw how my soul lives inwardly and that reincarnation exists, that I am actually eternal. Well, that vision took me on an intensive 6 full months of constant aha moments, energetic awakening of my chakras, and an entire reformation of my being. Insights were continuous, the puzzle was coming together. That’s when I began more inner healing.

Soon after, I had a calling to study to become a Yoga teacher, and again, this came without thought! I was moved to make it happen. Without plans for what I wanted to be or not. It didnt matter. So, I completed a six-week Yoga Teacher Training in Koh Phangan, Thailand. Before that, I was studying Hatha Yoga full-time in other schools, too. I was fully dedicated to a 6-day week practice, for 6-8 hours a day.

It was in Bali, during a transformative 4 week Tao-Tantra teacher training course on feminine healing and empowerment, that a special revelation descended upon me—a blessed download that fused hair cuts with energy healing into a singular, radiant vision. Thus began my journey with Energetic Hair Cuts. It became a popular profound healing session where clients released layers of emotional baggage and their spirits were uplifted. This marked the dawn of integrating healing modalities into my life’s work.

Upon returning to my native country of Malta for holiday breaks, I began teaching Ashtanga Yoga with an instinctive ease, sharing its wisdom with eager hearts. Back in Thailand, I continued to teach Yoga in several schools on the island of Koh Phangan. Soon, I began hosting women’s circles and Goddess Retreats, driven by a desire to empower women, to help them rise into their truest, most radiant selves. This, I realized, was the start of my soul’s mission.

Amidst this journey, several other awakenings took place, awakening of the spiritual heart (inner love) and further to unity consciousness. My connection with the Goddesses grew ever stronger, and I was graced with numerous direct encounters with these beings, each moment a sacred revelation. One such extraordinary experience unfolded in Bali at a temple where Nyi Roro Kidul was worshipped.

It was high noon when I arrived and the priestess came to greet me. As we were walking towards the sacred space, in an instant, i felt a strong gush, like a huge wave just hit my whole body; my feet were held fast, rooted to the earth. Then, the Goddess Nyi Roro Kidul stepped forth, her presence a torrent of immense power. She bestowed upon me an overwhelming energy, and my body was swaying like a pendulum, yet my feet remained magnetized to the temple floor. The Balinese worshippers, including the priestess, gazed in awe, declaring this a rare and sacred occurrence. From this initiation, an honor beyond imagination followed—I was invited to the wedding of the King’s son, which I had to refuse because I was at a four-week intensive teacher training in Bali.

This is but one chapter in a wide variety of encounters, for my path has been illuminated by countless meetings with Goddesses and great ones later on with divine Masters. Each experience has woven a deeper thread of connection, guiding me further along my path.

These were five profoundly intensive years, as unimaginable transformation took place. Certain gifts like clairvoyance and clairsentience, and I could retrieve vivid memories of my own past life experiences. During this period, I immersed myself in spiritual discourses, Yoga courses, Yoga Teacher Training, and healing modalities such as Theta Healing, Reiki, and Crystal work, and Feminine Healing modalities, such as Tao-Tantra. Each played a part in my awakening journey. These five years became an intense transformation—a catching up of lost times, it seemed, with a thousand years of wisdom.

Just before my return to my homeland of Malta, a vivid dream came through—a vision of a man whose path had briefly crossed mine at a holistic festival. We had both hosted a meditation session at this festival thus, we encountered each other for a few minutes, and a year later, the same thing happened. I went back to Malta for the summer holidays, hosted an event at a Holistic festival, and we encountered each other for another few minutes.

One day, he appeared in my dream. Intrigued and guided by my intuition, I reached out to him. My message was to co-create something of a spiritual nature together. His reply was an invitation that would alter my course: “Come to my Satsang when you arrive to Malta.” From that moment, our paths have remained entwined, an unbroken thread of destiny.

This marked a new chapter: Meeting Sat Mindo Dev!
A profound certainty enveloped me, an unshakable knowing that this encounter was the key to propelling me deeper along my divine path. In that moment of clarity, I abandoned my plans to leave Malta, boldly rerouting the trajectory of my life to remain in Malta. I now embarked on a deeper path. Under his guidance, I was guided into the state of Presence (Cosmic) Consciousness—a realm that transcends the mere play of energy. Over the next three years, through the intensive, dedicated inner work, I surrendered fully, opening to the natural state of Full Consciousness, a journey that dissolved the boundaries of my very self that I thought I knew.

Sat Mindo Dev is, and forever will be, a rare and extraordinary Soul. I have risen in love with him, a dance of the Soul that deepened into an eternity. Within mere months of my arrival back home, he became the love of my life. In five transformative months, we began co-creating magical events that brought heaven to earth—one of our first series was Sound & Silence. Soon, we embarked on hosting retreats together, journeying to the world’s sacred sites. Our early endeavor, named Open Hearts, evolved into the soul-stirring international organization called New Humanity Divine Marga.

Then came the shift of pandemic, when the world turned online. We adapted with grace, offering weekly Satsang and meditations, crafting Meditation Teacher Training courses to empower others with a crystal-clear system, a direct pathway to Full Consciousness.

Now, after nearly a decade later, our duty is helping our students worldwide to attune to the Divine Light and Sound Stream, awaken to their Full Consciousness (Sahaja Samadhi) through the Levels of Consciousness via Consciousness Transmissions and further advance the Soul through deeper complex work, with the liberation of the Soul and Spirit from its Karma, so that the Soul can be liberated and return to the Divine Abode, in Sat Purush, the True Eternal Divine Home.

Putting training and knowledge aside, what else do you think really matters in terms of succeeding in your field?

Being a spiritual teacher is not a calling for all, but awakening to your Natural State of Full Consciousness, and further liberating your Soul and Spirit, stands as the most sacred and essential pursuit of this lifetime.

You can become a fully conscious chef or play divine music. When you open to the Divine Source Self, you express your unique divinity with everyone else. It’s not what you do, but where you are moving from that counts!

Always seek a deeper fundamental truth of who You Are beyond conditioning and have the guidance of a teacher who has walked this path before you as that will surely simplify your journey, infusing it with profound efficiency, and your Soul will sing its gratitude for the liberation you embrace!

If you could go back, would you choose the same profession, specialty, etc.?

My path has blossomed in a perfected way, unfolded by the light of Divine Will itself. I would not alter a single thread, for every moment unfolded precisely as it was meant to be, each decision and choices guided by my Soul. I have only deep gratitude and love.
