We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Lynze Rhem. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Lynze below.
Hi Lynze, thanks for joining us today. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?
Growing up with a mother who was a performer provided me with valuable insights into the inner workings of the entertainment industry. Witnessing the behind-the-scenes aspects at a young age enabled my parents to demonstrate what was achievable, and I am thankful for that experience.

Lynze, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Music and the arts have always been part of my lineage, my grandmother was as a music teacher and my mother excelled as a singer and actress. Naturally, I followed in their footsteps, becoming a singer-songwriter, vocal coach, and actress. I’m deeply involved in the creative process, writing all my music and actively participating in its production. I take pride in mentoring and guiding other aspiring artists, helping them rediscover their own talents and boost their confidence. Being vulnerable in my art allows me to authentically share my story without fear, a quality I cherish. I also work as a doula also known as a labor and delivery coach in Arizona, where I am passionate about advocating for women and their partners during such a vulnerable time, particularly women of color due to the alarming death rates during labor. My goal is to help aid in normalizing having a doula during labor and delivery and to educate more people about what a doula does and the benefits of having one.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
I’ve had to rewire my thinking to understand that perfection doesn’t guarantee your desired outcome every time. Being overly focused on perfection can block progress on the journey. I’m still in the process of letting go of perfectionism and embracing the imperfections that make the journey worthwhile.

How did you build your audience on social media?
Slow and steady wins the race. My following was not an overnight success. The main ingredient to my success is consistency as well as growing with my audience and connecting with them on a human level.
