We recently connected with Lynne Payne and have shared our conversation below.
Lynne, appreciate you joining us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
The idea of Wear Love became a reality when in 2010 I stumbled into something unexpected. What started as a photo art venture with a friend took a wild turn when we printed some vintage tees to promote our company. We stamped our name on the back and Wear Love on the front. Then something crazy happened. People wanted the tees. My friend went back to photography and I took a leap into the unknown.
From my home base in Boston I packed and shipped across the country and around the world. Two simple words Wear Love began sparking conversations and shifting perspectives. And then? The brand caught the attention of Kathie Lee Gifford. She featured Wear Love on her “favorite things” segment on the Today Show in 2013. I rode the wave. Then I hit pause. Life was busy and I had no roadmap for turning my passion project into something bigger.
Until now. In 2025 my daughter Jordan and I decided to re launch Wear Love® because we know the message is powerful and timely. It’s more than apparel. It’s a movement. It’s an invitation to step beyond the limits of what you think is possible. Chase the dream, wherever it leads. Show up with wild radical love in your home, your workplace, and the world with love that changes everything.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Hi, I’m Lynne, Founder and Chief Creative Director of Wear Love®.
I grew up turning refrigerator boxes into decorated houses and “renting” them out to my neighborhood friends. I designed and sewed Barbie clothes until I was 15. I had an obvious bent toward design and “being in charge of stuff”. Creativity wasn’t just a hobby, it was the way I moved through the world. I saw possibility everywhere, and I knew-deep-down I was meant to create something big and impact the world through beauty.
Wear Love started with a simple tee and a big idea: that love—real, messy, everyday love—has the power to change everything. Led by a mother-daughter duo, we believe love is the force that shapes who we are and how we impact the world. It’s contagious and transformative—building relationships, strengthening communities, and sparking meaningful change. We’re here to stand in the conviction that small acts of love are the foundation of authentic living. And every woman deserves a soul-filled sisterhood that cheers her on as she lives with purpose and lights up the world with love.
Love in every thread.,
We are proud to offer premium, sustainable, conscious, GOTS certified organic apparel.
Wear Love® is more than just apparel. It’s a movement to influence the world through love.

How’d you meet your business partner?
I’ve known my business partner all of her life LOL. She is my daughter and I’m so excited to build this brand with her.
Jordan is the perfect partner for many reasons. We have a high level of trust with one another. We are aligned in our values, our faith, our purpose and our “WHY”.
We both have a great work ethic but understand the importance of work-life balance. She has three little boys and a busy schedule so we pivot when we need to and remind ourselves that family comes first.
We have different strengths and stay in our lane. We’ve made mistakes along the way but know it’s part of the process. We don’t dwell on the failures or sit on our successes, we keep moving, trying and learning.
We both have a desire to influence our world and inspire others to go light up their world with love.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
Love Does and Everybody Always by Bob Goff are two books that were significant in my wear love journey. I’ve read and re read them because it does something significant to my soul. These books inspire me to put love into action.
Story Brand by Donald Miller helped us clarify our message and understand the power of story.
Ready, Fire, Aim by Michael Masterson is a must read for anyone building a business.
