We recently connected with Lynne Dela Cruz and have shared our conversation below.
Lynne, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
Our family has always been into hospitality. Throughout the years, we’ve been hosting gatherings for birthday parties, and all of the holiday events. We love to have people in our home and feel the presence of peace and harmony during their time with us.
We started Harmony Home Collective in response to a need we first saw in our community during Covid. We started creating dishes that we felt were familiar to the public but also wanted to give them our own creative twist. It soon turned into something that not only brought food to the table, but brought families back together as they shared our dishes.
Our mission is to allow families to linger longer around the table as they allow us to provide a family meal that they can enjoy together. We’re also trying to create ways in how to “slow down” time with each other. One of the ways we’ve done is provided convesational topics during dinner time for families. We’re gearing up with our upcoming dinner themed events as well as our cooking classes.
We hope that this will encourage reconnection back to families and communities.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
We are a Christian based business. We have 5 children and 1 granddaughter. With that comes a lot of birthday parties, play dates, and gatherings! I love to create an atmosphere where people can feel comfortable and most of all welcomed.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I used to work as a Software Engineer for several companies in Silicon Valley. As much as I loved all the technical aspect of the job and traveling, it took me witnessing a heartbreaking loss of a life when I realized that I needed to be home with my growing family.
My husband and I decided that I give up my corporate job to be with our children. It was then I discovered my love of cooking.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I think it mostly had to do with being focused on serving families who are busy with their own schedules. We want to provide them a break from cooking and offer a certain type of fusion meal that they can experience together.
