We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Lynn X. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Lynn below.
Hi Lynn, thanks for joining us today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
In my opinion success will always be based on how bad a person wants to reach their goals. You have to have tunnel vision and be able to see nothing but what actions it will take to meet your goal. Also, you need a strong mind and heart to make it though all the ups and downs that will occur while making it to the finish line. Being in the music industry, during and after college, I would have my eye set on certain internships or opportunities to help me get to my goal, then at times I would be told no. You always have to be ready for the unexpected and to alter you plans to obtain the same goal.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
For those who don’t know, I am Ms. Lynn X. I got into the music industry about 4 and a half years ago and attended Full Sail University for my Bachelor’s in Music Business. When it comes to working with artists I have always tried to do everything I can. From making social media content, finding blog placements, booking studio sessions, organizing tracks, and putting together singles and albums then uploading them for release. I never limit myself on what I do because there is always an opportunity in anything. I love working with artists and have a passion for helping them get closer to making their dreams come true. I am also a blogger and have enjoyed being able to give artist a platform to be heard. I am most proud of my show Parkin Lot Pimpin which I have been blessed to interview and create relationships with artists and other industry professionals. I am very prideful of the relationships that I have created along my journey. What I would want others to know about my work is that I never let anything stop me. I know how to adapt and keep an eye on the bigger picture. Success is the only option.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Always being present and never being “above” any task that is in front of me no matter what position I am in. It takes a while to build a good reputation and in doing so I believe you can never let anyone see you sweat. I have always wanted people to be able to trust and rely on me so being there for people and always answering their call are two things I’ve always made sure I stayed true to doing.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
The best source of new clients for me is events, shows, and even social media. Artists and industry professionals are everywhere, so I never limit my ways of finding new people to work with.
