Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Lynn Sanchelli. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Lynn, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
I had just moved back to MN from CA, with my little preschooler. My nursing career was cut short due to injury at work, Not knowing what’s next for me, I painted things and brought them to small church boutiques with my Mom. I would come home empty handed everytime. So I painted more, and sold more. I had an epiphany. I could be creative, make stuff and bless people with my art…which in turn blessed me. My art opened the door and I walked through it. That was twenty years ago…and I’m still showing up.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Hi, have we met yet? I am Lynn, St Paul girl, Minnesota Artist, Creator, Believer, Joy spreader, Maker of all the “StuF” (with one “F”) I create Perfectly Imperfect art… to make life fun.
I design and create Mixed Media art, using acrylics mostly. I add multiple layers, my own font, fun bright colors, retro looking buttons and embellishments with a touch of Vintage to bring it all together, adding color to the world, one piece at a time. I have canvas, greeting cards, magnets, totes, prints and more.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My goal has always been to use my gift to make a difference.. “art to make life fun”. When I’m in that creative space, it brings me calm.
It is a full time thing for me. I try to do at least one event a month where I sell my works. My goal is not only to have a successful show but connecting through my art. It speaks to people in so many ways. Sometimes laughter, sometimes tears..all of it a blessing.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Just start! Out of all the dreams and visions we have, only a few of them may be explored and come to life. You don’t have to do every platform. Just pick two and focus on that. Be intentional about your post. Why are you posting it? Always add important links… post for a purpose. Don’t get them all the way to the end without a way to connect with them more. Stay present, stay connected, finish strong.
