Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Lynn Ramsey. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Lynn, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Taking care of customers isn’t just good business – it is often one of the main reasons folks went into business in the first place. So, we’d love to get a conversation going around how to best help clients feel appreciated – maybe you can share something you’ve done or seen someone do that’s been really effective at helping a customer feel valued?
Customer appreciation is big for me because I wouldn’t be who I am without my people.. I like to show my love for the people who support me by having things like customer appreciation week, treating them to a free lunch or dinner, offering free holiday dinners, raffles for a free service. Sometimes when I would make a new dish I would reach out to see if they would like to sample it for me. I love making my customers feel included & valued because I truly do appreciate every one of them. I get so much love from my supporters, it’s only right I give them that same energy back & more.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
Sure I’d love to! I’m Chef Lynn & I’m based in Atlanta, GA. I specialize in private dining, full catering service, as well as weekly meal prep. My services can be used locally or with any travel needs. I take pride in offering each of my clients an amazing experience starting from first contact to clean up. I’m here to expand & satisfy your palate by taking you on an immaculate food journey with only the best & freshest ingredients. How I got to where am I today? God, always believing in myself, a lot of hard work, & my customers! I guess going viral a few times & being featured on The Shade Room helped a lot as well lol. All of these things combined has taken me on an amazing journey & we’re just getting started!
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
A lesson I had to unlearn was waiting for the “right time” to do or start something. There are so many factors that we include on when the right time will be that we’ll look up & we’ve lost so much time waiting for it. Don’t sit on your ideas or goals. Go for it! Just start somewhere, we can always adjust & get better as we go.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I think what has helped build my reputation the most is my customer service. The fact that I show up as myself, & I don’t believe in gate keeping. If I’ve made an error I don’t mind correcting it. I listen to my clients & provide them with the same respect I would want to be provided with. I don’t mind sharing knowledge on things because knowledge is power. You can learn one thing & it changes your life. Who am I to keep information from someone that could help them reach their highest self? I spread love & people feel & appreciate that.
