We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Lynn Gallagher. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Lynn below.
Lynn, appreciate you joining us today. If you had a defining moment that you feel really changed the trajectory of your career, we’d love to hear the story and details.
My journey into esthetics wasn’t a calculated career move; it was a calling, a whisper from my soul that resonated with a deep desire to nurture and provide a healing service. I didn’t just want to treat skin; I wanted to connect with the story each face held. As a holistic facialist, I see myself akin to a painter whose palette, canvas, and paint brush allow for their creative expression to unfurl. Except, my tools are hands, facial brushes, and an array of gua sha stones, my most beloved tools.
The first time I held a smooth, cold, rose quartz facial gua sha stone in my hand, it sparked something within me, a sense of creative potential waiting to be unleashed. It wasn’t just a tool; it was an extension of my artistic spirit. After months of learning through my Traditional Easter Medicine teachers,I began to practice on others and each face became my masterpiece. Each time I worked with a new face, I felt a gentle conversation between my fingertips and their skin that revealed subtle shifts in textures and colors, and I could feel sighs of tension releasing. It was like magic to me.
I wasn’t just performing a facial, I was expressing myself with my hands and tools as an artist. I was painting. Each stroke was deliberate and intentional. I visualized the flow of lymphatic fluid, the release of stagnant energy, the awakening of dormant radiance. With each upward sweep, I felt a surge of purpose, a connection to something larger than myself. It was as if I was channeling the earth’s energy through the stone, bringing harmony and balance to the face beneath my hands.
It was in those first few months as I was new into my holistic beauty practice that I realized I wasn’t just working on skin; I was working with energy, with life force, with the inherent beauty that resided within each individual. I felt the energy moving, the subtle shifts and releases, and I was simply a conduit for this healing process.
This is when I learned I could tap into a flow state with my work. The world outside faded away, and there was only me, my hands, the tools, and the living canvas before me. I was an artist lost in creation, guided by intuition and a deep understanding of the body’s natural rhythms. Each treatment became a unique expression of this connection, a testament to the power of touch and the profound beauty of holistic care.
With this understanding, the tone of my path in my life’s work had been set: this is a calling, a chance I have everyday to empower others to embrace their natural radiance and beauty inside and out.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
