We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Lyndon Jones Angelica Robles. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Lyndon Jones below.
Lyndon Jones, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
The most meaningful project we’ve worked on is without doubt our podcast, Untying Knots. This project comes from our souls as we speak from the heart, and its genesis is rooted in deeply personal and transformative experiences.
Angelica and I both went through our own intense and challenging divorces. Angelica’s story is particularly compelling—she was an undercover federal agent who unknowingly married into the Mexican cartel. Her journey is documented in her internationally best-selling book, Through These Brown Eyes, which she sold to Hollywood to be produced into a movie. The emotional and personal upheavals of that relationship and subsequent divorce is nothing short of extraordinary. My own divorce, while not as high-profile, was equally significant and transformative, filled with its own set of emotional and legal complexities.
Untying Knots was born out of our shared experiences and desire to create a platform that offers encouragement, support, and transformation for others who are going through similar situations. We recognized the need for a space where men and women can feel understood and supported, whether they are currently navigating a divorce, have already gone through one, or are contemplating this life-changing decision.
The complexities of our personal stories bring a unique depth to the podcast. We discuss the criminal components of divorce and betrayal, the emotional rollercoaster, and the path to self-discovery and our glow-ups. Our episodes dive into everything from the raw, painful moments to the empowering steps of moving forward, to raunchy and sexual stories. Each episode is designed to resonate with our listeners on a personal level, offering both practical advice and emotional support balanced with intellectual dialogue and a fun sense of humor. We are fully self-expressed speaking vulnerably and authentically.
Creating Untying Knots has been a labor of love. It’s meaningful to us because it’s more than just a podcast—it’s a lifeline for those who feel lost in the tumultuous process of divorce. It’s a community where people can find comfort, share their stories, and begin to heal. Seeing the impact it has on our listeners, knowing that we are helping people navigate one of the most challenging times in their lives, is incredibly fulfilling. This project not only allowed us to channel negative experiences into something positive but also gave me the opportunity to collaborate with Angelica, whose resilience and strength continue to inspire me and our audience.
Lyndon Jones, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Angelica is a former undercover agent, Forbes published best-selling author, motivational speaker, mindset coach, executive producer, government consultant, business strategist, and content creator. Angelica spent 18 years working in federal investigations before she transitioned into her new roles. Angelica signed a deal with Hollywood to turn her life story into a featured film and was named executive producer of the movie. After her entire life came crashing down, she reinvented herself and stepped into a new world telling her story on international stages and on the big screen. She now teaches other women how to use their traumas for triumph. She has built an empire worthy of mentioning. From a horrible divorce to the red-carpet Angelica’s mission and vision is to teach other women to become the best version of themselves regardless of their past traumas. Trauma doesn’t have to debilitate you but instead, fuel your strength to become untouchable. Angelica coaches’ women to include other business owners, CEOS, and anyone who is ready to take on their life and elevate. With her upcoming book “The Power of Forgiveness” she will touch so many more lives and share with others how she built her empire after her high-profile divorce.
Lyndon is a successful real estate entrepreneur who complements Angelica’s background with his journey of professional triumph and personal upheaval. With 14 years of experience in the real estate industry, he has been a conduit for over $1,000,000,000 in real estate transactions and has built a thriving online digital marketing business, mid-term rental portfolio, real estate consulting and brand strategist services, and executive coaching. Aside from real estate, he starred in the reality TV series, For The Love of Fitness, and is a fitness influencer with a large social media following. However, his professional success was paralleled by personal challenges, including a divorce after seven years of marriage. This duality of professional achievement and personal struggle gives him a unique perspective on the themes explored in “Untying Knots.”
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Building our social media audience has been a journey rooted in authenticity, consistency, and value-driven content. We started with a clear vision based on our knowledge as digital marketers. We strategically focused on creating engaging reels/shorts with strong hooks, controversy, and hot topics around relationships and dating. We leveraged our respective personal profiles that had tens of thousands of engaged followers through daily story posts and collaboration posts with our podcast profile. We also began utilizing going live to build trust and a deeper connection with our audience. Prioritizing quality content while still being consistent to produce a quantity of content to stay top of mind with our followings. We have gone viral several times with a few posts gained hundreds of thousands of views and even eclipsed 1.8 M views on a TikTok clip of our podcast that went crazy viral.
For those starting out, my advice is to find your niche and be authentic in your content. Consistently provide value, engage with your audience, and be open to pushing the envelope to evoke emotion. Use analytics to adapt and refine your strategy, and be patient as you build your brand presence. Authenticity and persistence are key to attracting and cultivating a community.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being a content creative is being able to create without borders or limitations. Having the liberty to think freely and speak without being forced to subscribe to a certain structure or framework. The ability to create art with intention knowing that you’re leaving it up to interpretation.
