We were lucky to catch up with Lynden Partch recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Lynden, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.

My most meaningful project has to be one of my first ever collaborations as an “influencer.” It was with the clothing company BooHoo. First of all, I was shocked that a company wanted to send me stuff and have me promote them because I started out doing Tik Tok Just for fun, I didn’t know it could be anything more. But when it was a company that I had been shopping at for years, it just felt insane. I will never forget how excited I was when I got the email because it only went up from there. That collaboration will forever be so meaningful to me!

Lynden, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I am from a small town in Minnesota. I have always loved watching YouTube videos about fashion and makeup, but I was always scared to make videos for fear of being judged since I lived in such a small town. I ended up moving to Arizona where I didn’t know anyone and that’s when the app TikTok became big. I decided to post random videos for fun not thinking anything of it. After a couple months I received an invite to the TikTok Creator Meetup. I was in shock and almost didn’t go because I was so nervous. It turned out to be the best decision I’ve ever made because I met my best friend of 2 years. We ended up meeting our other friend and creating skits that went viral, and from then on, I’ve never stopped posting. Of course, there have been trials and tribulations along the way, but I wouldn’t be where I am today without my platform! I now make fashion, comedy, and DIY content.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

My main advice is to be authentic. People can see right through the fakeness on the internet, and no one wants to follow someone that isn’t true to themselves and their followers. Show your personality and be you!

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

My goal is to inspire others! No matter where you come from, you can make it to where you want to be.
