We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lylelana Bernardez a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Lylelana , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
After realizing that corporate fashion no longer fulfilled me, I turned to health and wellness because I loved it and I know that health is your greatest wealth. I enrolled in a health coaching program to address my chronic fatigue, health issues and hope to do the same for others. This marked the beginning of my entrepreneurial journey. While helping clients with their health, I felt a deep pull to do more to guide them holistically in discovering their life purpose and creating a meaningful life.
Following that intuition, I pursued a life coaching certification, but my search for purpose led me even deeper. I dived deeper with my studies in Shamanism, Astrology and the Akashic Records which became invaluable tools in my transformation and helped me understand myself on a profound level.
When I combined these modalities—holistic life coaching, astrology, and the Akashic Records everything clicked. My two greatest passions are personal and spiritual growth.
I knew this was my calling because these were the exact tools that changed my life and as I began working with clients from coaches, entrepreneurs, medical practitioners, corporate women, etc. I saw transformations and it was fulfilling.
I love what I do and I am deeply grateful to guide others in aligning with their highest potential.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I was born and raised in the Philippines and moved to New York at age 20 to start a new life.
I built a career in corporate fashion as a product developer working with great brands and alpha women. It was a dream, but after a decade, it wasn’t anymore, despite my “success,” I felt unfulfilled, knowing deep down I was meant for something more.
So, while scared, I took a leap of faith, I left my stable job to find my true purpose, trying different paths from yoga to coaching swimming and then I realized I had to take my life into my own hands. During the pandemic, I started what felt like an impossible dream: launching my own business. It began as health coaching and evolved into something deeper- holistic life coaching, astrology, and akashic records. It was all the things that I love- personal, spiritual growth and the tools that saved my life from chronic depression and suicidal thoughts.
Now, I co-create with ambitious women who crave deeper self-understanding, and clarity on their life’s purpose, and who want to live a fulfilling, aligned life that they love not what society expects them to.
My approach blends practical and spiritual practices like grounded life coaching, astrology, and intuitive guidance to help my clients step to their full potential. If I was able to find my life’s calling, I know they can do it too.
I believe the greatest gift you can give yourself is to live fully and do what you love. Life is beautiful if you believe it to be, the universe is abundant, and magic happens when you believe in possibility.
My life’s work and business are built on passion, integrity, and transformation. I live and breathe everything I do. I also make sure that I sprinkle some fun to it.
Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
I’ve always been drawn to personal development books. Entrepreneurship is a spiritual journey. No one tells you how tough it can be, you have to build inner strength to keep going, or you’ll give up. Business isn’t just strategy; it’s resilience, belief, and trust in yourself.
Some of the books that have deeply shaped my mindset and mental health in this journey:
– You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay
– Believe It by Jamie Kern Lima
-Awaken the Giant Within by Tony Robbins
-The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks
-The Universe Has Your Back by Gabby Bernstein
and course, Astrology—a constant guide in my personal and professional growth.
We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
For me, a client relationship doesn’t end after a session, it’s an ongoing connection. I genuinely care about the people I work with and check in from time to time to see how they’re doing. It’s never just transactional, it’s about supporting their journey. I also nurture my community through newsletters, offering valuable insights. My clients aren’t just customers, I deeply appreciate and grateful to be part of their transformation.
