Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Lydia Reed. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Lydia, appreciate you joining us today. Quality control is a challenge almost every entrepreneur has had to focus on when growing – any advice, stories or insight around how to best ensure quality is maintained as your business scales?
As LPR Agency grew, maintaining quality has always been my top priority and something I never wanted to compromise on. I run my business alone, which means I’m deeply involved in every single campaign, and because of that, I’ve had to be really intentional about how much I take on at any one time. I only work with artists I genuinely believe in and feel passionate about. That not only keeps the work exciting for me, but it also ensures I’m pouring the right level of energy and care into every campaign.
I’ve heard so many horror stories from artists about agencies that overloaded themselves and churned out campaigns without any strategy or soul. That’s the opposite of what I want to offer. I never want to let things get to a point where quality slips just to keep up with demand. It’s definitely a balancing act—running a busy, growing company while protecting the standards and integrity of your work.
My biggest advice for anyone growing a business is don’t be afraid to say no. Growth doesn’t always mean more, it means better. Be selective and trust that doing great work for the right clients will always bring in more of the right opportunities.

Lydia, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m Lydia Reed, the founder of LPR Agency—a cutting-edge, independent music PR company based in the UK. I’ve spent a decade immersed in the music industry across both the UK and US, with experience spanning artist management, licensing, and publishing. But it was publicity that really sparked something in me. There’s something incredibly rewarding about helping artists get their music heard by the right audiences, and that passion is what led me to start LPR Agency.
Although I’m based in London, I spent a number of years working in the Los Angeles music scene, which gave me valuable insight into both the UK and US markets. Today, LPR Agency delivers international results, with clients across the globe and a reach that spans continents. LPR specialises in digital PR and media outreach, working across a wide range of genres, from indie pop and rock to R&B, alternative, and beyond.
LPR offers bespoke, strategy-led PR campaigns that are tailored to each artist’s story, goals, and sound. I’ve worked hard to build strong relationships with media outlets, tastemakers, and other industry figures, which allows me to garner great results for my clients. Whether that’s securing features in wish list publications, driving coverage across global outlets, or simply getting a few more eyes and ears on amazing music that deserves attention, LPR is here to champion the artist at every step.
What sets LPR apart is the care and attention each campaign receives. It’s about doing meaningful work and building long-term momentum for talented musicians.
I’m incredibly proud of the growth of LPR Agency, but nothing beats the feedback from clients who feel seen, heard, and supported. That’s what it’s all about for me. For anyone considering working with LPR, I’d want them to know that they’re not just getting a PR campaign, they’re gaining a dedicated partner who’s invested in their journey, their story, and their success.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
We’ve been really fortunate in that the majority of our clientele comes from returning artists or word-of-mouth referrals. I think that’s a testament to the quality of work we deliver and the reputation we’ve built over the years. That’s why I place such importance on maintaining high standards with every campaign, because when artists feel supported and see great results, they naturally want to return, and they often recommend us to others in their network.
LPR Agency works with artists all over the world, so we’re not limited to any one market. We run campaigns for artists at all stages of their careers—from emerging talent to more established names—and we work either directly with the artist or via their management or label.
Occasionally, if I come across an artist online whose sound really resonates, I’ll reach out to see if there’s an opportunity to collaborate. I love those organic connections. Whenever I speak with a new client, I always ask how they found us—it’s always interesting to hear whether it was through mutual connections, social media, or even a Google search. That kind of organic growth has been one of our strongest strategies for building a client base that truly aligns with the values of LPR.
