We recently connected with LX Xander and have shared our conversation below.
LX, appreciate you joining us today. Can you tell us about a time that your work has been misunderstood? Why do you think it happened and did any interesting insights emerge from the experience?
I feel like I’m CONSTANTLY being typecast, pigeonholed etc. – but in a way, I don’t think it’s a bad thing. As far as branding goes, I think it’s important that people can make immediate judgements about you as SOON as they see you, because you only get a few seconds of people’s attention nowadays. So I’d rather people IMMEDIATELY know if they like me or hate me then not feel any type of way at all because my branding is too vague.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m a billboard-charting music producer, I grew up in the north of England and made my way all the way over here to Los Angeles. I work with developing artists and major artists. I’m also pretty well known for being kind of a wild boi and having a lot of pretty girls around me all the time. Just authentically sharing aspects of my lifestyle in a way that I think most people feel like they’re not allowed to.
How did you build your audience on social media?
Find your lane branding wise and double, TRIPLE down on it. Also be willing to invest in different forms of promotion to grow and be willing to take some losses sometimes. Better to waste $10k and eventually find something that works than spend $0 out of fear of loss and never crack the code.
Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
The Kybalion is AMAZING, but you have to be in a place to be able to receive it. I think a lot of people will read it and forget about it, but if you come back to it later it’ll be illuminating. 48 Laws of Power is also awesome, but pretty low vibrational lmao
