We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Luvyna Mantle a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Luvyna, appreciate you joining us today. So, let’s imagine that you were advising someone who wanted to start something similar to you and they asked you what you would do differently in the startup-process knowing what you know now. How would you respond?
I would learn how to sell from the beginning. Instead of investing in educational courses and materials to learn, I’d invest in myself and my business to learn how to sell. Then once I’m making money I can learn and educate myself more. It took me over two years to realize that my business couldn’t continue growing and scaling if I wasn’t selling myself and my services effectively.
Within one month of investing in my sales coach, I’ve doubled my monthly income and had more leads coming in than ever before. Now, I can start investing more in my education and knowledge since I have sales systems and processes implemented. Now, that I know without a doubt that I’m making money each money, and have leads coming in weekly then I can focus on getting certified as a triple-threat marketer in design, copy, and client journey. Which will then bring in more leads, higher-paying clients, and better results.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I help online businesses streamline and scale their business by organizing their tech stack using Go High Level CRM. So what does that even mean? I take all the different tools and platforms they are using to market and sell their services and put them on one platform. So instead of having your website somewhere, your email marketing somewhere else, your calendar, and invoicing in other places, for less than $150 a month we can put everything into GO High Level, and using automations and workflows make a large portion of your business run in the background. I have different levels of services from done for you full build-outs, monthly tech support, and retainer packages for agency accounts.
I spent seven years of my life as an Army spouse and eventually worked for the Air Force as a civilian for a few years. During this time I really learned the importance of having processes in place to make sure things ran smoothly. While pregnant with our second son, I started my own business as a virtual assistant and landed two large multi-million dollar companies that I was managing their remote teams. Both of these companies were operating in HubSpot, and I was able to get an in-depth knowledge of CRMs and how large companies are using them for sales and marketing. Eventually, I moved away from being a virtual assistant and have been setting up online business CRMs ever since.
Being a mom and running multiple businesses, it’s been incredibly important for me to automate as much of my business and life as possible. As I’ve grown and worked with larger entrepreneurs, I’ve learned how important it is to have a system in place that works for your business, takes some of those time-consuming tasks off my/their plates, and allows you time to do what your good at so you can make more money.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
There were two big factors that blew up my audience on social media. Firstly, I worked on producing quality content that wasn’t the same as everyone else’s. I noticed that the better content I produced, the more engagement increased and the more followers I gained. Secondly, was networking. Getting out of my comfort zone and talking to others, showing up to networking calls, and talking about myself and my services really expanded my audience.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
I love partnerships and collaborating with other online businesses and being referral partners. Partnerships have built my business so far and I think it’s amazing when we can use each other’s strengths and both benefit from it. Recently I’ve had several amazing partnerships with business coaches. Particularly those that are helping their clients with the strategy, helping them with their offers, and how to grow their business but aren’t implementing the tech/system side of things. I’d love to connect and see if we would be a good fit for each other. The last two coaches I joined forces with, we were actually able to basically white label my services into their offer and they saw an incredible increase in client satisfaction and their ability to serve more. Others who make good referral partners for both of us are brand designers, course designers, and agencies. If you think we could be beneficial to each other, please reach out via email at [email protected].
