Lulu, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What do you think Corporate America gets wrong in your industry? Any stories or anecdotes that illustrate why this matters?

Body Art has been around for quite some time, what tattoos have done to this generation is the unthinkable. Corporate America still judge individuals for having tattoos as if we are thugs, bums or low life criminals. The reality is that body art is a fashion trend that is becoming more acceptable to the human eye. As some people may spend their hard working money on designer clothes, the tattoo enthusiast will spend on their body. Corporate America will spend money on their clothes, cars, jewelry, but fail to realize that the body art may cost as much as a Banksy painting . Body art is a beautiful way of expressing yourself which many careers frown or wont hire or discriminate on future employees. We see many people with different aspects of life who love body art. Body art is not who you think people are, but what’s inside their heart is who we truly are.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

My husband and I started Endless Ink Studios in 2019, It was surely not an easy adventure. The start of this journey has to be one the greatest life learning lesson. My husband has always been business minded, an always keep moving forward mentality, we’ve decided to start this business with the right people who surround us, such as tattoo artist, piercers, legal team. friends and family we have grown so much in a short period of time. We provide custom tattoos, piercings ,eyelashes, permanent make-up, skin camoflague which is to blend in scars and stretch marks with your natural skin. We strive to provide the clients with the best customer services and the utmost respect.

Has your business ever had a near-death moment? Would you mind sharing the story?

With so many stories I can share some definitely stand out. Once you open a business of course there is things you never think of encountering as the business is in the baby stages you are competing with more established tattoo parlors. Of course it was times when it crossed my mind about payroll being an issue. During Covid shut downs and 6ft distancing where one of the make or break business era, it made so many businesses that had to shut down due to this crisis. Many businesses whom are still open are still living the reality of building back to normal.

Any advice for managing a team?

It’s not an advice that I may have, everyone thinks different. The way I make my approach is very simple. I talk to my team in different ways since I know I am dealing with very different personalities. Above all they know that I will not steer them in the wrong direction. We are one wholesome team no one is above anyone. We collectively strive to give the clients the best tattoo experience we have to offer. I believe and treating everyone with the utmost respect, our best customer service can set any business apart.
