We were lucky to catch up with Luke Netti recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Luke thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
When you first think of success you probably picture Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, or Bill Gates. Making lots of money and being recognized by others. Building a business with a team that is focused on growth and where you work 100 hours a week.
I have a slightly different picture of success. It’s the opposite of that. One where I can spend time with my family during lunch. Take a break to go on a walk just because it’s nice outside. Soak up the sunshine in the morning on the back deck. Not being called to work long nights, weekends, or missing dinner time. All because my success is tied to freedom.
So with this new definition, I’ve come to realize success needs to be defined by you—and that looks different for everybody. Once you’ve defined that, now you can chase it.
Being successful requires consistency. It’s not quick growth, but strong roots. Being successful in business requires you to never quit playing the game.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I started running my business because I wanted to help small businesses. In my prior work, I was an engineer in a large defense company. Completely detached from the impact of my work.
I love being able to help businesses an tangibly see the results I create for them. I’m a web designer with a strong focus on messaging, storytelling, and custom web design.
Why story? Story matters.
Hundreds of websites in the exact same industry. Attention spans at an all time low. AI content dominating.
Clearly conveying your story with clarity and uniqueness is a challenge. One that requires a human approach.
Applying the subtle nuances that make your design and message connect with your audience. Connect with them in a way that makes them feel seen, heard, and known.
And ultimately has them bought into you.
That’s why I do what I do.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My goal is to help businesses standout with their online presence. Not to get lost on the web, but attract more of their ideal customers so they can grow their business.
That’s why I love design. It’s a driving tool to help my customers.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Social media plays a large role in my marketing. I primarily built my following by giving away free value. Helping educate my ideal customers why websites are important and how to improve them.
For those just getting started on social, focus on relationships. Meet new people, and connect in the DMs. That’s where the magic is.
