Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Luis Solo. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Luis, thanks for joining us today. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
The biggest risk I’ve taken in the entertainment world was walking away from my podcast. After nearly three years of building and maintaining it on digital platforms, deciding to shut it down wasn’t easy. I clearly remember that after releasing the final episode, the first question I asked myself was: “What’s next?”
I no longer felt comfortable being boxed into just being a “podcaster.” I wanted to explore, to experiment, and to break out of that label. And that’s exactly what I did.
I reinvented myself as a content creator across multiple platforms. Today, I’m actively creating for Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok—and that has made a huge difference. My reach has grown significantly. I can now post a video and easily hit over 50,000 views, something that just wasn’t possible with the podcast.
It was a leap of faith, but one that completely paid off. Changing formats allowed me to connect with more people, try out different styles of content, and most importantly, enjoy the creative process even more. Sometimes, closing a chapter isn’t about giving up—it’s about opening the door to something much bigger.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My name is Luis Solo, but on social media, most people know me as Tano Tales. I’m a content creator focused on the world of movies, TV shows, and everything related to my favorite franchises and characters. I share opinions, news, reviews, and create engaging video content that resonates with the geek and film-loving community.
In addition to producing content for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, I also work in a more professional space within the entertainment industry. I’ve had the opportunity to interview celebrities and take part in press events for major film projects—experiences that have allowed me to blend my passion for entertainment with a more journalistic and in-depth approach.
As I mentioned, my journey began with podcasting through a personal project called ‘The Luis Show’, which I hosted for nearly three years. However, I eventually made the decision to leave that behind in order to step out of my comfort zone, grow, and challenge myself creatively. That leap led me to evolve, explore new formats, and connect with a much wider audience.
I feel incredibly proud to express myself through the things I love, and one of my main goals has always been to build a positive, passionate, and welcoming community around the stories, characters, and universes that bring us joy. I want my followers to know that this is more than just content—it’s about creating a space where we can all geek out together, feel heard, and celebrate the fandoms that inspire us. Whether it’s through a quick TikTok, a YouTube review, or a celebrity interview, everything I do is driven by that sense of shared connection.
Today, I continue telling stories, sharing my unique perspective on the entertainment world, and constantly looking for new ways to create content with passion, authenticity, and a personal touch.

Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
When I first started this journey, I really wish I had more knowledge about editing. Back then, I didn’t fully realize how important the visual and aesthetic aspect of content creation was. Over time, and through constant learning and experience, I’ve been able to significantly improve the look and feel of my photos and videos. Today, the visual results are much more polished, appealing, and professional compared to my earlier work. Looking back, I definitely wish I had those tools and skills from the very beginning, as they would have elevated the quality of my content much sooner.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
One thing I’ve learned on my journey through social media is that consistency and authenticity are key. In the beginning, it may feel like you’re not getting much reach or that your content is going unnoticed, but the important thing is not to give up. Post consistently, stay true to your unique style, and most importantly, be yourself. People connect with real people, not an edited or artificial version of you. Also, don’t be afraid to experiment and try new things, because every attempt is an opportunity to learn and improve. And remember, the most important thing is to enjoy the process and not to obsess over the numbers. Patience and consistent work pay off in the long run!
