We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Luis Padilla. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Luis below.
Luis, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
Fresco was founded with the goal of assisting brands to remain relevant. I recognized a great need to assist businesses with staying current on technology, social media platforms, and how the internet in general was transforming the way people and customers interacted and engaged with businesses and organizations, especially in the Latino community.
At Fresco, we want to support businesses and the community to boost their presence and enhance their image. Our agenda is to represent our community with dignity in this country.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
After my time in soccer and working for several years in marketing and community engagement focused on the Latino Community, I saw the need to help businesses improve their brand’s presence by offering quality services and products that were typically only available to the general market.
I founded Fresco Marketing in 2018. Fresco is a minority-owned multicultural marketing agency that is refreshing the way companies see, understand and communicate with their consumers in an environment of constant change.
We help brands connect culturally, emotionally and authentically with the community and their consumers, cultivating a stronger presence that allows them to get to the next level.
We offer branding, design, research, strategy, creative, content, advertising, and community outreach.
At Fresco, we want to work with brands that make a difference, that go beyond just selling or producing more, but also creating ways to help the community.
Alright – let’s talk about marketing or sales – do you have any fun stories about a risk you’ve taken or something else exciting on the sales and marketing side?
One of my favorite stories is when I obtained my first “big project” so to speak.
Before founding Fresco, I was completing various projects as a freelancer. One day, a good friend called me to ask if I could help one of his clients. This business was a respectable and reputable brand in the city.
It was an important project for their company. Perhaps at an earlier stage, I would have said no, but since it was a great opportunity, I leaped t the chance and did not want to let the opportunity pass by.
As soon as I hung up the call, I was slightly shocked and nervous at the same time. I was thinking about how I was going to make this happen and all the details it would require. This was a “make or break” kind of project and definitely a decision that change the route of my career.
The project was a huge success. The company and I began working on more projects together. I was no longer a freelancer and decided to create Fresco. To this very day, this incredible business and I continue to work together.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Something that sets us apart is that we really care about connecting, listening and understanding consumers and the community in general. We are involved in various events, and activities that allow us to create the link between us and the consumer to understand what they want and need. At the end of the day, we are consumers too.
We host two events each year. The first event is called “El Mitote”. This is a large networking event that allows business owners and young professionals to meet, interact and learn about one another. Our other event, “Folklore”, is during Hispanic Heritage Month. It commemorates and celebrates the influence and contributions of the Latino Community. At the event this year, together with Wells Fargo and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, we launched a program to help 10 small businesses with $10,000 grants.
I believe that our reputation is founded and upheld by our consistency and values. We are honest, clear, accessible and all about creating personal relationships, not transactional ones.
